DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. I made reservations here for my birthday at 7pm. They sat is down and then after taking our order and giving us our drinks, the waitress told us it would be a 40 minute wait for the chef & then she smiled and walked off. We had other evening plans for my birthday, so I asked the hostesses if it would really be 40 minutes and she reassured me saying “no it’ll be around 20, there’s no way it’ll be 40” and I said okay good because we would’ve left it would take that long. Our reservation was at 7pm and the chef did not come out until 7:50pm. Ridiculous!!! Then, they charged us 18% tip included with our meal. We asked the manager if he could wave that and allow us to make our own tip because of the inconvience and bad service, he said no and argued with us & then walked off so rudely! They did not even sing to me for my birthday or anything and I was extremely upset. Then, after all of this arguing, the waitress messed up our checks and had to go back and ask who had what and make sure that everyone received their card back because one waitress took some of our cards! I don't like to complain and I am the type of person who rolls their eyes at customers who think they get to push staff around because they are "regulars". However, I do go to the restaurant at least 2 or 3 times a month and I have never had a bad experience until now. This is the one and only time I've ever complained about my food and the manager handled the situation very poorly. My dish was cold, over sauced, gritty, and I had 3 incidents with something small and sharp in the food, one of which I accidentally swallowed. Out of politeness I attempted to get thru half of the dish just to see if maybe it was just one part that was bad. When we finally mentioned the issues to the server she called over her manager who insisted that the dish is always severed room temperature (I have had it before and it's always been hot and after reviewing several different recipes for the dish online it seems the dish is meant to be served hot) and asked us "What do you want me to do about it?". Very professional. When we asked if the dish could be removed from the ticket he became upset that I had eaten half of it. We asked if, at very least, we could have half off and while he agreed to do that the level of attitude we got over the $8 discount was ridiculous.    Read moreThis place was awful! We were so excited to eat here because most japanese places have vegetarian options, but we ended up storming out of there! I ordered a veggie roll and my boyfriend ordered a salad,then I ordered a vegetable udon entree, my boyfriend ordered the vegetable hibachi. The udon meal was fine honestly everything was fine except for the vegetables in the hibachi. They tasted old and way too sweet. We politely asked the server to exchange it for the udon meal instead. She said "we don't do exchanges" and walked away! Then my boyfriend started having a bad reaction to the few vegetables he ate and threw up in their bathroom, and they still refused to take it off the bill or exchange it! They kept saying that their manager wasn't there! And that when they called he still didn't want to take it off the bill! I was furious! I told them I wasn't going to eat my meal either and to just give me the bill, she apologized one more time telling me she was sorry they couldn't take it off to which I said fine we just will never come back again. They finally took the hibachi off the bill but their whole attitude had already done the damage especially when it would have been an easy fix.
