I stopped by this Starbucks location after lunch one Thursday as I was heading out of town to Charleston. I used the drive through and my order was very simple: a grande hot brewed coffee with half & half. There were a couple cars ahead of me in line and each received their order quickly. (I overheard that car in front of me telling the barista over the ordering intercom that her's was a mobile order.) When I got to the serving window my coffee was ready. The barista scanned the bar code on my wife's Starbucks app and we were on our way. The whole process took about five minutes.
I realize that this location can sometimes get busy and that patience is in order. And I also realize that my order was about as easy as they come. But I've been to some Starbucks locations with the same order at the same time of day with poor results. The most common problem with my order has been coffee that is obviously not fresh and is rather lukewarm. That was not the case with my order today. My coffee was hot, delicious, and satisfying. UPDATED: not too sure why employees get so upset if you find something that you enjoy, that’s not on the menu. It literally throws them for a loop if you ask for anything that’s not on the menu and then they make sure that you can’t get it the next time. I just don’t understand if you have the things to make drinks for people why make a big deal about it? I tend bar if I made a big deal every single time somebody ordered a drink or an item that wasn’t on the menu I can’t tell you how fast I would lose my job. It just doesn’t make sense when you pay $10 for a drink. If you find a drink that you like there is no reason why every other time you go in you can’t get it but then at other locations it’s no problem so you literally have to drive 30 minutes out of your way to go to a specific location where you actually have somebody that doesn’t mind the job they’re...
