With my husband and my 7 year old daughter sleeping in the back of the car, last night around 830pm, we placed a drive-thru order. I ALWAYS check the food to ensure quality and correct order. The chicken sandwich and burger were still cold to the touch. It was obvious by even touching the wrapper that both were cold. So all I said was "these are cold still, can you go warm them up or give me some new ones". KENNETH, the drive-thru guy just stared at me like I was asking him to commit murder or like I'm an idiot - without responding to me. His eyes were wide open just staring at me, wish I could've taken a picture of it. I said, what are you looking at and why are you giving me an attitude? He kept staring at me. Then I proceeded to ask again and handed the sandwiches over to my husband so he can give it to him (my husband was driver's side) but KENNETH wouldn't take them. Then I did say something rude to him which I won't say here so I do take accountability for that but as a "customer service" rep, all he had to do was take them back and warm them up or give us warm ones because who is going to eat a COLD burger? I asked for the manager and in a very demeaning and of course rude way he said he was the manager (Which come to find out he was lying). Then, another guy (Who maybe was the actual manager?) helped refund the order and we kept the order but that wasn't the point. The point was to simply warm them up and move on with our lives. There was no one behind us, we had a child in the backseat, and all this ghetto attitude from KENNETH was unecessary. I think he is racist and when I asked him something small he took it defensively and tried to ruin our night. That KENNETH guy disappeared after and im assuming the real manager was the one who gave us the refund and never said a word to us or looked at us. On the contrary, he shut the window while he was refunding us. Both reps were awful and NEVER AGAIN will be go here.
What I really wonder is if they even have a brain because to refund fully almost $30 worth of food when all you had to do was warm up some patties is a loss for the company. I wonder how many others they refund instead of actually helping them resolve their issue? Making it a consistent financial loss for Wendy's. This ghetto attitude was appalling and I'm hoping they switch staff and show them that customers come first.
P.S. I scrolled down and all I see is 1 stars repeatedly with the same exact racism and cold food issues we had last night. Will someone do...
Read moreI was the 3rd car in line at the drive through and it took 24 min and 17 secs to complete my order, yes that is over 8 minutes per order, not exactly fast food. Then to add insult to injury, I ordered a Daves triple burger and was served Jr burger patties. Totally unacceptable and naturally when I called to speak with the manager, they did not answer the phone. I weighed the burger to make sure I was not mistaken and the total sandwich with bun, condiments, paper and even the bag only weighed 7.2oz. Not even close to what a triple should weigh.
This is the 3rd time in a row (Chicken sandwich instead of a burger, and a single instead of a double on the other) that my experience has been below their standards so they leave me no choice but to take my business elsewhere. This has to be the worst run Wendy's in their franchise market but if this is now the rule instead of the exception, they will be out of business in no time.
Well to close this chapter, I did speak to the manager (Brandy) at 8:39 and she very rudely tells me there is nothing she can do as the person who made the sandwich has left for the day. All she did was make excuses for the burger and the phone being in the office when I called earlier as to why it wasn't answered timely, When I simply told her what happened and asked, what are you going to do to make it right, her reply was "there is nothing I can do; you may have been given the wrong patties but until I can speak to the person that made your sandwich there is nothing I can do." I thought a manager had the authority to address a customer complaint but I guess I was mistaken. Rest assured, this was my last time visiting Wendy's in Fort Mill and I would encourage everyone else to go somewhere else as well. This has to be the most disrespectful and least customer focused manager in the Wendy's chain. Simply...
Read moreI took my daughter here today at 11:30am hoping to have a nice meal. This would have been her first time at Wendy's and we were really looking forward to it. I park the car and we walk up to the restaurant door and discover it is locked. There is no signage to indicate the place is closed. We go around to the other door and find that one is open, but when we get up to the counter nobody is there to take our order. After a few minutes someone (whom I presume is the manager) emerges from the back and says it will be around 10 minutes before we can order, as she needs to call her staff. My daughter and I decide that we are willing to wait 10 minutes. A few minutes later two employees show up to the first door we tried (which is still locked). The manager is nowhere in sight. We motioned for them to use the other door but they don't seem to understand? A few minutes later the manager emerges again and unlocks the door for them. As they come in, one of them glares at me and sarcastically says "thanks" -- as if she expected me to unlock the door for her -- and goes behind the counter. I'm just a customer, I don't have a key to that door! It's not like we were ignoring them; we had motioned for them to use the other door!
The hours of operation posted say the place is supposed to open at 6:30am. The whole experience was a big disappointment and the bad attitude of the employee was extremely off-putting. Needless to say we will not be...
