So The first 2 times I went there when they first opened. I did not have good service food, wasn't anything talk about. We were sitting in an area where we were by the splash container where they were throwing all of the dirty dishes. Near the end of our meals, boy realized that's where all of the sprinkles on our table was coming from. did complain about it, but at that time don't know whatever happened, never went back until just recently. It was an easy spot to go to during icebreakers. With some friends whole different experience was very satisfied with the food, service, atmosphere. So I went yet again about 2 weeks later. As you see pictured, I tried the meet with the pineapple. Wonderful loved it. My friend. That was with me. Got the Deluxe Buritto. Was happy with the taste but not portion size. Bowling alley in town & Clementines is definitely bigger when it come to the portion , so that was a little discouraging. But will definitely go back.

Food: 4/5 (Great Food and Flavors!) Service: 5/5 (Awesome service!) Atmosphere: 5/5 (Great identity and environment) Lovely experience at Los Ranchos! Located in South Haven, Michigan, this Mexican restaurant brought flavor and texture straight from the grill. Great meals are served here! The food was a hit! I love the multicolored chips with the delicious salsa. The creamed spinash and tacos had a ton of flavor as well. All seasoned right, brought to the table hot and in a timely manner. Really good! The service was appreciated! Very kind staff who worked hard to serve their customers. Our water cups stayed full, and the service was great! The atmosphere was memorable. The environment was lively. Sports were on the televisions, great decor, and lively music. Great place to come for a good time. Overall, I loved the experience at Los Ranchos restaurant. Great Mexican food and lovely vibe!

Stopped in on a Friday night for the first time, ordered Nachos Supreme with jalapeños and an unsweetened iced tea. The chips and salsa were ok, as previously mentioned by other reviews they are not made in-house and are thicker. The salsa was different, couldn’t put my finger on what is was. Nachos arrived very fast. Looked delicious but once started eating them there was no flavor. The beef and chicken has no seasoning, lettuce flavor overpowered the chicken flavor. Also the other pictures shows all the liquid at the bottom, i don’t like that for my nachos, bottom half of the nachos were soggy. Glad i asked for jalapeños because they had flavor. Overall wouldn’t order them again. Service was ok, not overly friendly. Probably won’t be back with other options in the area. Total bill with 15% tip was $22. The $4 ice tea was a surprise.

I will say that I will usually NEVER complain or write a bad review about any business until I speak with them about the issue first. This was unacceptable. I highly advise not giving a restaurant like this business. Go to El Paraiso instead.

My family and I bought takeout last night to bring back to our marina and eat. Everyone was friendly and the food was out quick. As soon as we sat down and I opened up our food to eat, I was hit with an awful smell but brushed it off. As soon as each of us took the first bite we knew something was off. As soon as we tasted the beans we all were almost sick. They tasted horribly burnt and chemical like, as if someone had melted a large piece of plastic in the beans (if you've ever badly melted something in the microwave this is almost then taste/smell I'm describing). The beans and most of the other food that shared the container with them was inedible. Mind you, we own a plastics recycling factory here in town and we are no stranger to burnt plastic smells nor are we picky about food.

After salvaging any part of the meal we could, we were all discouraged and sickened but that is not why I'm posting this.

I went in today (with most of the food we bought) to explain what happened and to allow them a chance to make it right. The manager had just run out and I said I could wait for him but the kind employees insisted on just telling them. They agreed this was unacceptable and phoned their manager to ask to refund us. Over the phone, the manager attempted to negotiate with me on my reimbursement. "Did you eat any of the food?" "How much of it did you eat?" "Well will you do 50% back?"

I said this was absolutely unacceptable. It ruined our family meal and most all of our appetites. I kept insisting that I would speak with him when he's back because I felt bad pinning this on the employees. He reluctantly agreed to pay the full amount back after speaking on the phone for a very long time with an employee.

I was really saddened by this experience. I do not believe this is how a good manager should operate a restaurant. We would have gladly accepted a gift card and an apology and given them another chance, but instead he reluctantly gave us the exact amount in cash of what we paid last night with no apologies whatsoever.

They have lost my family and me as customers forever -- and not even because our food...

The atmosphere is OK. The staff are not attentive. The food is loaded with onions and peppers but they don't put that on the menu. My quesadilla was soggy in the bottom from too much sauce(which tasted like watered down taco sauce)and it was just one small tortilla folded over with meat, onions and peppers. It didn't even have any cheese. Not worth the $10 they charge for it. The prices are a little high for the amount of food you get. My side of beans were very runny and the rice is a little dry. I'm not sure if that is what authentic Mexican food is supposed to be like but I'll pass on this one. My husband however said he loved everything. They have not been open long so hopefully they will get better. On the plus side they did give us a small basket of tortilla chips(greasy and unsalted)that tasted homemade with salsa(watery and tastes like only cilantro)for free on our table when we ordered our meals. If you go be prepared to spend between 10 and 20 dollars for food that is mostly onions, peppers, and watery sauce over meats like ground beef, beef tips, shredded beef, chicken, and...

Went here with my family on a Monday evening. We walked in, and immediately noticed the floors were super slippery, and the place was packed. We ordered, and we waited for a bit. And waited, and waited, for about 40 minutes, and my brother gets up to go to the bathroom and he slips on the floor. We asked one of the workers there, and he said the floors were slippery because of the cooks coming in and out of the kitchen and grease falling on the floor. We wait for about a whole hour and a half, deciding on whether to leave or not, and our food finally arrives. The steak my dad ordered was bland and chewy, and my mom's food did not have tomatoes, lettuce, or rice, and her steak was salty and chewy. I ordered the steak tacos, with my brother ordering it as well, and they were really underwhelming for the hour and a half wait, and my mom mentioned her food felt and looked reheated in a microwave. I do not recommend going on a busy evening. We have ordered from here a few times, but this time, the food and service was...
