Stuff'D Steaks Review – A Hidden Gem in Hershey, PA
Nestled just a short distance from Hershey Park, Stuff'D Steaks is a charming, unassuming hoagie shop that packs big flavors. Located in a modest storefront, it offers a cozy dining area with a handful of four-top tables, making it the perfect spot for a casual bite. The shop also features a small counter and an inviting ice cream case at the front, adding to the relaxed vibe. You can place your order either at the counter or online for convenience.
The menu is a delicious variety of cheesesteaks and hoagies, each offering something unique. On our visit for lunch, we tried a few standouts that left us impressed. The Honey Butter Chicken Cheesesteak was an intriguing twist on the classic, with the chicken perfectly complemented by a sweet, honey finish that added a touch of indulgence to the savory sandwich. It’s not your typical cheesesteak, but it’s worth a try for those seeking something different.
The Double Trouble Cheesesteak was the real highlight of the meal, offering a perfect balance of flavors. Stuff'D uses a combination of Cooper Sharp Cheddar and classic Wiz, resulting in a creamy, savory experience that perfectly complements the tender steak. The sandwich is also served on Liscio's hoagie rolls, which are a Philadelphia staple, making the texture soft yet sturdy enough to hold all that gooey goodness.
We also tried a Single Smash Burger with Fries, which didn’t disappoint. The burger was perfectly seared with a crispy, crunchy exterior and a juicy, flavorful interior. The fries were fresh-cut, served piping hot, and crispy—an excellent pairing to the burger. The smash burger is part of a lunch special, which includes fries and a drink, all for $15—a fantastic deal considering the quality and portion sizes.
Overall, Stuff'D Steaks offers a great lunch option for anyone in the Hershey area looking for hearty sandwiches, fresh ingredients, and a laid-back atmosphere. With affordable prices and fantastic food, it’s a spot worth checking out whether you're visiting the theme park or just passing...
Read moreThis restaurant used to be named Phillip Arthur's which served DElicious cheesesteak sandwiches in an absolute hole in the wall facility. Last time we were here in Hershey this place was closed for remodeling. So we were quite happy to see this place open again and we stopped in for lunch. The dining and kitchen areas have been spruced up very nicely and the place is now very inviting. However, acoustics still reverberate off all the hard surfaces and makes it difficult to have a conversation without raising your voice quite loudly. Perhaps we just happened to be here on the wrong day or time, but the beef on my cheesesteak sandwich was very very very overcooked, dry, tasteless and tough. I also found two pieces of gristle in my sandwich that I had to spit out. All of which leads me to believe that I was served a cut of low quality beef and certainly NOT chopped rib roast. It was also frustrating having to wait for an employee to come by our table and offer to wrap my wife's chicken sandwich leftover. Almost the whole time we were here, there were two on duty employees who sat and stood next to and with a family that was dining here. 10' away from us and they never even looked our way to see if we needed anything. Great service eh? And then there were 3 more employees in the kitchen area who were obviously bored so they engaged in horseplay and yucking it up very loudly in front of the customers, and also the owner if that was him sitting at the counter watching TV and wearing a "Pat and Geno Who" T-shirt. But yet when you place your order you are given your choice of adding to your bill the minimum tip of 20%, 25%, 30%, or no tip and risk having the employees spit on your food. So it ended up costing us $50 for two sandwiches, one of which was absolutely nasty, plus one can of soda pop. The new owner(s) here need to understand that you only get one chance to make a good first impression, and this was not the way to...
Read moreDifferent cheesesteak #1,001 in the last four years. Stuff’d Steaks is the foundation that Campbelltown can build themselves into a top international foodie travel destination. This is a very good cheesesteak made by a very nice family and served in a great location. At first glance I wasn’t in love with this cheesesteak. It came on a Liscio’s roll that looked bready. You’ll see in the video the roll collapsed nicely around the cheesesteak. The meat is thinly sliced and roughly chopped. I was worried about the thin slice but there was a lot of meat and it ate very well. You can see in the picture the mushrooms spent time on the grill and added a lot of flavor. Stuff’d Steaks shares a building with a beer distributor so you can enjoy an adult beverage with your cheesesteak. I went with a Troegs Nugget Nectar, maybe two. I liked them. What did I miss? The cheese. The cheese was there and melted in. Could it have used more, probably. This is where I need everyone to pay attention. We have a great cheesesteak. We have great beer. WE NEED A GREAT BEER CHEESE SAUCE/WIZ! Eating 1,000 cheesesteaks didn’t make me smarter, more handsome, healthier nor funnier but it teach me to know when we need a Beer...
