I wonderful hidden gem. I bumped into this place accidentally. It was conveniently located in the shopping center of the Petco closest to where I was earlier this morning. I had to get a few pet supplies brought me to this location as the closest. I needed some coffee while I waited for the store to open. I figured in Miami there’s always a bakery in every shopping center. I looked around and sure enough I saw the word bakery. However, it was a pleasant surprise when I walked in. It was pure sophistication and the epitome of finesse. The staff was very welcome and nice. I was completely goofy as I realized I had stumbled upon a bakery that was the typical Cuban bakery. I was like, “what’s this and what do you have, lol?” They explained it was a french bakery and showed me the menu. I wasn’t too hungry but wasn’t going to miss out on trying something from a place with all that charm and wonderfulness. Never had anything from a french bakery, so I wasn’t going to miss out on the opportunity to. So I ordered the breakfast sandwich and French toast for my son. He is obsessed with French toast. The staff was so sweet and welcoming. Absolute wonderful experience! I must say! Then, I got the food and ate half of my sandwich as I waited and took a peak at my sons French toast. I do not eat French toast, but it looks so beautiful French and delicious. He is going to love it! I fell in love with the breakfast sandwich. I highly recommend you add this to your bucket list of places to visit and revisit time and time again. I...
Read moreI have been going to Cafe Bonjour since it opened almost 8 years ago. It is by far my favorite restaurant. I'm sorry to read that people have actually had bad experiences with customer service. I have never been treated like this and I know they have many regular customers that even bring them gifts because of how great they are. This restaurant is completely family owned and operated plus a few other employees. They are a French family and if you'd like to escape Miami for just a half hour or so this is the place to do it. It is not rare to see the owner cook your meal, serve you and maybe pick up a conversation with you or your neighbor while dealing with the restaurant as a whole. The atmosphere is warm and I love to just watch the family work their business so brilliantly.
The food is absolutely amazing. There is nothing I haven't liked yet. The croissants are by far the best in town as well as the baguettes. I cannot find a flaw in their breakfast dishes (Ive had pretty much everything on the list) and the sandwiches (though simple) are mouthwatering.
It is a bit pricey but whenever I have the extra cash to go I choose cafe bonjour before...
Read moreThe restraint offers well done food of high quality. From my experiences I had a chocolate croissant which was flaky, fluffy and truly delightful. For the main meal I enjoy a croque monsiuer which was prepared rather well and full of flavor. I would recommend for many to try the sandwich with egg. A downside to it was the sides however. The French fries were plentiful but not of high quality which was a sad contrast as all other products from this establishment are the of high quality. For desert I had the lemon tart which was light, tasty and had spectacular plating. The final product enjoyed by this establishment were the French macaroons. These macaroons were the perfect temperature and taste. While low in variety it makes up for it more in its taste. As someone Who has been to France these macaroons are leagues above many prices.
Final thoughts: I recommend visiting and having trying it. While I have only visited this establishment twice I have found it to be pleasurable with friendly and attentive staff as well as...
