From the moment you walk in, you are met with smiles and friendliness. We had a reservation but we were early and still quickly sat at a table. Our server was prompt with water as we were looking at the drink menu for some cocktails. My wife and I both ordered an espresso martini, one with Kailua, and one without. Both tasted very good and had the perfect mix of alcohol and other ingredients.
For dinner, my wife ordered the Philly cheesteak sandwich with truffle fries. That sandwich was one of the best "cheesteaks" I've had in a long time and I'm from the Philadelphia area. I ordered the pasta pomodoro with shrimp. I am a huge fan of quality red sauce and this meal did not disappoint. My daughter who is a chicken Cesar salad connoisseur, said we could add this one to her very small list of approved salads.
Food was only a piece of the exceptional night we had at Kitchen 57. We had a gift card won at a fundraiser raffle, but there was an issue with it. Mike, the owner, personally came to explain the issue, but still honored it. We were already planning to return regardless if the gift certificate was accepted, now we know for a fact this restaurant will be a repeat visit for us. Three diverse menu, friendly staff, and great leadership is why you should go too. You will not be...
Read moreLoved this place, and enjoyed everything about it including the vibe, service courtesy of Ana our server, and the food which was a phenomenal value for the money considering the quality, serving size, presentation, and taste! Had the Blackened Chicken Breasts (with large side $20! and the burger). Ana even explained all the different events/promos they have goin on, and told me about her long time working here. Really appreciated the down home, family typa hospitality! The owner and executive chef Michael Altman even came to our table, and you can feel the love, pride, and more he puts into his biz. Meraki is a Greek word I learned recently which he and Ana have. I'm a local wedding and event DJ in Miami and South Florida that came to support my DJ friend @bennredd (who was performing a great DJ set with a mix of throwbacks and more contemporary sounds) but wasn't expecting such a great experience as this was! There's an added benefit of talented bands performing live entertainment at nearby venues within a short, safe walking distance, so plan your evening accordingly. Have dinner here then pub crawl lol. They even have a rewards program, Kitchen Perks, which encourages repeat customers in addition to all the above. Highly recommend and will...
Read moreLast night a friend and I returned to Kitchen 57 formerly "Town" for a wonderful happy hour experience. The former Town chef has re-opened the same S. Miami location as Kitchen 57 and it is obvious a foodie is in charge. The happy hour menu is full of great choices. My friend and I had the Parisian Burgers (2) with truffle fries $10. such a bargain, delicious and expertly prepared. She started with the shrimp dumplings which were high quality, freshly made and not from frozen. Ms. Noel, our server, couldn't have been nicer and caring about the service and drink descriptions when asked by me and my friend. The bar manager was also very pleasant and customer service oriented. We sat outside and it was delightful at the last southern most table as the sun set the column blocked its heat! Go there now, you'll be surprised and forget about your previous...
