Unusually long lines because of no one at the register as a regular station. Eventually someone will come to the register. This the norm, not the exception. The worse part though is that when you request a fresh made burger (called “well done” on the ticket), they are suppose to grill the raw patty fresh - exactly as McDonald’s advertises their quarter pounders. At this McDonalds, they try to deceive you: they make the sandwich fresh, but with a pre-made patty already cooked, sitting in a bun with other patties. This is not a random occurrence. It is their practice - not to waste the patties already cooked. So you get a warm, not hot, dry patty on a fresh made sandwich. What you don’t get is a freshly cooked hamburger as McDonald’s advertises. This is their normal practice. They just figure you don’t know the difference, but I do.
Freshly cooked burgers are sizzling hot, right off the grill. You can eventually receive the fresh hot patty - but only after you return the one you were served. The 2nd time they will do it right. This also holds true for McNuggets if you ask for a fresh order dropped into the fryer. They will say OK, but if you watch, they will serve you from the warning bins, then you reject it, then they will make it fresh. That’s how this particular McDonald’s operates.
Forget sockets to plug anything in. There are signs here telling you that you cannot remain more than 30 minutes from the time you were served, or it will be considered loitering.
Another McDonalds about 2 miles north at 11:48 South Dixie Highway, Coral Gables, is most likely owned by the same franchisee. There are signs admonishing you not to linger more than 30 minutes under their loitering policy, and an outlet that once had 4 wall sockets has been covered up with a ceramic plate, leaving no access to electricity whatsoever. You can use their wifi (and gulp things down, all within 30 minutes), but you may not charge any devices while doing so. None. Zero. - It’s not like they never had the outlets. They had them, then the franchise owner decided to block access to electricity and cover the outlets with a ceramic plate. Given that this denial of access to outlets is at Mcdonalds servicing the University of Miami, these are very customer unfriendly McDonalds.
And at this one, 6150 South Dixie Highway, you can only get a freshly made hot quarter pounder after you return...
Read moreThis mcdonalds has to be one of the worst down south… its filled with a bunch of old ladies who dont want to work and it shows. I have been here twice so far and both times the service was horrible. First time i was ordering in the drive through and gave the lady my rewards code for a 5.49 breakfast meal, she got my code and my app said it was accepted but she proceeded to tell me her system denied it and when i explained to her what my code was for she gave me nothing but attitude constantly repeating her system didnt accept it when clearly it did so finally i get tired of going back and forth because i HAVE TO GO but im hungry so i ask for the managers help to resolve it this lady does not call for the manager and is just sitting there non stop saying yes…yess…yess.. so i just go to the next window and the manager heard me explain what my code was for and honestly she helped me by giving me the deal i was looking for but i DID NOT GET POINTS… which is what i even go to McDonalds for in the first place… anyways i get the food and this food is not hot and the other old lady whos supposed to give me my food has my food just sitting there for 3 minutes before handing it to me.. no drink still she took another 2 minutes to get me my drink…
Today all i wanted was a sweet tea this morning i was given an unsweet tea. I go inside thinking maybe it was a mistake because how hard is it to mess up a single drink order…the lady helping me is the lady who took her time recently to give me my food last time. She gives me another tea and i promise you i dont leave the store before tasting it so i dont waste my time coming back in again this tea was UNSWEET TEA i went back to this lady and just asked for sugar she takes my cup acting like shes going to put sugar so i watch her and she straight up just poured me the correct sweet tea in a new cup.. MY TIME WAS WASTED I WAS LATE TO A JOB AND THE SERVICE WAS 0-10 i recommend you go to a different McDonalds these ladies probably throw your food on the floor before serving it to you… ill never come back to this location ever again thanks to the team there..
Side note i hope these ladies carpool drive off a bridge and swim with the fish they all got...
Read moreSo I wasn't going to write a review of this place until I saw the low score this location had. "Worst McDonald's Location in Florida" "Disaster" "My apple pie was too hot". Ronald din't die on the cross for this and Grimace dint collude with Donald Trump to be disrespected like this.
McDonalds is not food, lets get that out of the way right now. Its a labor sodium, processed sugars and capitalism that fuels the machine called planet earth. Everybody eats it from Multi Billionaires, college kids, moms who don't want to cook after a long day and Yelp Elite writers who have nothing better to do. At any given moment you can walk into a McDonalds and see the vast rainbow of strange people, situations and food that comes exactly how you expect it.
That's one facet of the golden arches that people don't respect is how the burger comes just how you expect it. The sexy dad version of the hamburgler who I imagine makes these in the back does not disappoint. I ordered 5 cheeseburgers and ate them all back to back if you told me that I ate the same burger 5 times I would have to believe you. The fries are genetically, chemically and spiritually engineered to taste so bland but at the same time be so unique. How is it that I have soft fries, very crispy fries and little pieces of fry shrapnel all in the same red sleeve?
But enough about McDonalds as a company. What about this location? We have Spanish speakers as the cashier and drive through attendants. The store remains clean after it was remodeled to look oddly like the PAMM. And the service remains quick unless you come at the worst possible time (when is that time? Hell if I know, but you'll know when they miss your order).
Look I don't think you should drop everything and come here. Its after a McDonalds, a clean one at that with nice staff but that will deteriorate over time till they remodel it again. If your in a pinch and hungry this is a solid...
