Because food is amazing and for the first 30 years of my life I didn't know all the ways. I had the national dish of Thailand today. You want to talk about something that's magical. I had no idea this even existed but today was a gamble, I ordered completely blindly my basic requirement was seafood since we are back in Maine and the owner got my order and completely substituted when the dish came out. She said "I put a different sauce on it from what you ordered, I think you will like this one." I'm not going to lie, it looked spicy and I was scared at what I agreed to but it was so perfect. I could have licked the plate. The mushrooms were so hot I cried but soooo good and flavorful. She gave me the sauce I ordered too and it was also good but she knew her food. We totally agreed that we have to go back again on our way home lol.

Dish was called: Thai Taste Fish- a spicy chili garlic sauce with basil leaves over a lightly battered haddock.

We also had Satay, spring rolls, beef fried rice, Tom Kai soup, the create your own soup and Thai teas.

Some people just have the power and magic of creating food like this and the lady that runs this restaurant is one of those people. Is there even a word for being star struck by foods? 😋 it was so delicious we planned our entire trip back around eating here before going home. Even better the second time. Too busy stuffing our faces to even think of taking photos. If you like Thai, better put this place to the top...

This was our second visit to this place. Did a mistake by entering the place after seeing the server’s behaviour. She saw we were 3 people, I clearly mentioned table for 3, thrice. She rudely asked me how many people 2 or 3. Once settled, to take our order also she seemed pretty annoyed. While keeping the plates she almost pushed my friends hand and kept the plates, she could have said excuse me, but No. The crab rangoon we ordered was under cooked. I asked for chilli oil, she loudly said WHATTT??? When I repeated she was like; we don’t have that and was about to leave when I stopped and asked if she had chilli sauce, she nodded and got. The food was bland. Looking at her behaviour with not just us but everyone who walked in we were irritated. Never done this in any restaurant and for the very first time decided not to tip her. Her colleague came running to our car and was like you eat at a restaurant and you don’t tip??? When I mentioned the server’s behaviour, not a word was spoken. We did tip them, certainly higher than the service provided. For sure our last...

I ordered takeout from Pom's Thai last night. My wife is on a special diet and got the chicken katsu, which is described as coming with "vegetable lomein" and having "sauce on the side." We also selected "no spicy" when ordering. We asked for it without lomein, as she just wanted the plain chicken katsu. However, when we opened the dish, it was filled with vegetables and had plenty of sauce.

I suppose "vegetable lomein" means vegetables AND lomein to them, and they left out the lomein, leaving the vegetables, rather than leaving out all of it. Ugh. Normally, I would overlook a mistake due to a language barrier, but I don't know, when it comes in a pool of liquid, THAT'S A SAUCE. Don't say that the sauce is on the side, if there's ALSO A SAUCE in the dish. And if a customer orders something "no spicy," then maybe DON'T PUT A BUNCH OF PEPPERS IN IT.

The result is that my wife was not able to eat the dish. I called to complain, but they insisted that the sauce was on the side. Pepper liquid...

Everyone loved their meals! It even came with a free salad and dumpling appetizer. It was one of the freshest homemade ginger dressings I have had. Reminds me of a salad dressing from a japanese place around me, but they changed to something store bought and awful. We had the panag beef, choochee shrimp, ginger haddock and duck entree and chicken satay. Their sauces and their flavors a touch on the sweet side which everyone in the party loved. The peanut sauce with the satay was perfect. We had low expectations and this was one of the first restaurants we saw and were feeling thai food. So glad we stopped in! Everything was cooked beautifully, the flavors were on point, veggies fresh. I 100% Would recommend to anyone in the area!

Best thai food restaurant in Maine and top thai restaurant in USA. Overall, the food was good. I had been a loyal customer for 11 years and the taste never change. I love to order kra thong tong, shrimp tom yum soup, tom kha. Pad see ew, pad kee mow, pineapple fried rice, etc. Their mango sticky rice also very good but only available depends on the mango season. The owner is very nice and most of the workers here are very welcoming. The taste similar to the food in Thailand. Very recommended to eat here. They have other locations but somehow the taste a little difference and I only like the one in South Portland.
