Moochie's Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in South Salt Lake

Moochies is a local favorite that's been around almost 2 decades and I finally got around to trying it for the first time today with their delivery service. This review is based on the meal as a whole. I ordered a 12 inch philly ($13), Don's Zappy potato salad (around $3) and fries ($2). The flavor of the meat in the sandwhich was good with the grilled onions and mushrooms oh and can't forget the cheese. The bread was nice and soft but I would of liked it to be more toasted maybe that would of made a big difference. I added some of the jalapeno sauce they included on the side and that kicked up the flavors another notch. There's not really anything wrong with it just other than it needs more crunchy texture to it maybe adding raw veggies as an option. The fries we're alright just like any other fries. Now the potato salad is where it's at for me it tasted like a dill buffalo sauce it's so flavorful and the zingyness of it is addicting. So compared to other Philly steak sandwhiches I've had which is not many I give it a 3 1/2 but with the potato salad I give it a 4 1/2. There's a reason why moochies has been around for a long time so if your looking for something to satisfy your steak sandwhich cravings this...

I've been a huge Moochie's fan for over a decade. It's one of my favorite places. I'm writing this review now because I've been so disappointed about how inconsistent everything has been for the last couple years, especially at the 2121 S State location. Some days it's what I expect, but last night was an all time low. We got home, 5 minutes away, and the fries were literally cold and one of the baskets was not even half full. Also, somebody must have really messed up the Jalapeno sauce because it tasted like someone had poured chemicals in it. It made our sandwich pretty much inedible. I want to continue to support Moochie's, but it seems like the addition of more locations has made quality control go out the window. At the very least I'm only going to be going to the original location from now on even though it's a slightly further drive. I feel bad because I know it's hard to find good help in lower paying service jobs, but the kids they've had working at this location seem to be pretty impersonal and untrained. I hope ya'll get it together because I love your food when...

Worst place!!!! Food is mediocre on its best days. Meat has no flavor, hardly any cheese. Basically just paid 23 dollars for a "Philly cheese steak" that was just some dry bread.. BAD experience on top of that!! Ordered food, went outside to sit and eat with my husband, in a more secluded picnic table area. This girl cleaning windows could of had some common sense and waited till we were done eating to clean the window literally right next to us. Not even 1 foot away she starts spraying Windex everywhere and didn't even say a word. I was like uhh hello??? Can you please not clean the window so close to us while we are eating?? She just goes oh you don't have to move it's fine. Didn't apologize or anything. I was like are you kidding me right now?! How fricken discugusting!!! that's how you treat your customers who just paid over 50 dollars for 2 sandwiches??? NEVER COMING...
