I will start by saying the atmosphere was ok! The staff was cordial but not friendly. Our waiter was preoccupied but he was very polite. It’s hard to be attentive to the guests/customers when you don’t put them first. My favorite thing about this trip was the cannolis. Hands down they were amazing crunchy the ricotta was cinnamon sugar sweet. Second would have to be the Philly. We bought it with all the additional veggies and two types of cheese. The food truck #thefreshprinceofsteak Was better though the one from #boschettos European Market would blow the socks off of all of these places in a taste test. The roll didn’t taste like bread you would get back east but it wasn’t as bad as the garlic bread. I would’ve liked to see more cheese and more of a garlic flavor on the garlic bread. The soup was ham and potato and actually tasted really good. Like real potatoes and seasoned well. Now the one thing I was very disappointed in the chicken parmigiana and the mom mom’s marinara sauce. I was really disappointed in the flavor. We were thinking the noodles were gonna be homemade and they were not. Also there wasn’t enough noodles to be considered a bed. More like a pillow. That was the least amount of noodles we have ever been served. Even in comparison with a pasta side salad. The sauce lacked depth. Tasted more like pizza sauce. No where near NY or even Chicago Italian. No one made the gravy here. #Ddd #Guyfieri, did the park city location change the recipe? I couldn’t imagine you suggested this. I would never take NY my relatives here. It taste very west coast Cali-talian. When your being outdone by #OliveGarden you might not want to boast about being “NyItalian”. The reason for a more harsh review is because you have a triple D sticker in the window! Live up to it. If the closed slc location is not comparable to the park city location the sticker shouldn’t be hung. I can’t imagine Guy being in love with this sauce!

I had no idea that Maxwell's was on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive In's and Dives which featured their giant 10 ounce meatball, but a friend said we had to check out their pizzas. There are some tasty choices with great names, one I thought was really cool. It's their Hawaiian pizza named "Eddie Would Go" a nice homage to Eddie Aikau. (If you know, you know.) We first ordered up a Johnny's IPA and our server, Alejandra, who was really fun, recommended I try the local Hooker Blonde by Park City Brewery. A great easy drinking beer. We struggled to pick a pie but finally decided on the Italian Stallion which had pepperoni, Italian sausage and chicken. I've never had chicken on a pie before, but it was very good. The crust was right in my wheelhouse, not too thin, a nice chew, and a few bubbles in the crust. We polished it off along with two side salads. I overheard someone order a Caliente Margarita and watched the bartender make it with muddled jalapeño slices. Yup, I had to try it.  The muddled jalapeños gave it a nice spicy kick. This is a great place and maybe next time I try the Triple D highlighted giant meatball!

Excellent food, very nice staff! Our server, Ian, we extremely sweet, attentive, and very good at his job. Had a late lunch and it's a wonderful spot for lunch. Had the Brushetta, Turkey Italiano, and Meatball Sub. They were all very excellent! Brushetta was very filling and refreshing. The tomato and mozzarella were extremely fresh. The balsamic ontop made this classic just wonderful. Turkey Italiano (I had provolone instead of buffalo cheese, I can't do buffalo anything) was delicious and filling, without being heavy. The Dijon and sprouts add a nice note to it. Tomato on this was super fresh as well. Could've been picked this morning and sliced as the sandwich was being assembled. Since traveling the area, I've been hard pressed to find a pop with carbonation like I'm used to, but they have what feels like normal carbonation, so if you're picky on your pop like me, you (finally) won't be disappointed. They also have a nice variety of seating, outdoors as well, and a cute little bar.

Service from Carol (she introduced herself as Caroline even tho her name tag said carol) was abysmal. She was nice enough but largely absent all night. Read on for more…

After being seated, the host went straight back to the front without letting a server know we were there. We must have waited 20+ minutes for someone to finally come over and acknowledge us. She said she would be back with waters. We told her we were ready to order drinks and so she took that order plus the app order. When she finally showed up with our waters, our app had beaten her there. We had no plates or napkins. A different server finally noticed and brought been over. We finish the app and we still haven’t gotten the bar drinks or sodas we ordered. She came back by 15 minutes later and said she was waiting on the bartender. Our dinner arrived before our drinks, which showed up a few minutes later. The mezcal drink was not good - medicinal. The margarita was also not good. Just tasted like straight tequila with a hint of lime. Thank goodness they couldn’t mess up a coke or Shirley temple.

The prices are fancy Park City but the food quality didn’t match. The food was just meh. Deserving of three star quality. We had the steak and cheese, chicken parm, meatball sub and fettuccine Alfredo. At $17 for a steak and cheese tho, I’d expect something more. They are def trying to capitalize on their proximity to the fancy PC crowd, but the bang isn’t worth the buck. WAY OVERPRICED.

We had finished eating and the server and never once come back by. Finally, she came over to check on the group of 8 behind us who were also complaining about their service. We were able to flag her down and ask for our check. Our card had been sitting on the edge of the table at that point for a long while. Another server came by and asked if she could cash us out but because we had told our server we would take the check, we politely declined thinking our server would be returning. No. She didn’t. Not for another 10-15 minutes.

The atmosphere is dive bar/restaurant in a strip mall. Except slightly dingy with old furniture. The bench/booth we sat on was caving in. It was clear the springs and cushion had died long ago.

I don’t think this place is worth a return visit and honestly the two stars is...

I’m a restaurant manager in Park City. I know that it can be difficult to maintain quality and staff. I have had decent food and service at Maxwell’s in the past. I do not leave negative restaurant reviews because I know how annoying they can be to ownership and management. Tonight’s experience could not go undocumented. I called and ordered a very simple 20” pepperoni pizza. The person on phone took my name and number and said it’d be ready in 25 minutes. I said “perfect, see you then!” I get a text about a minute later saying my order has been received. FOUR minutes later I get a text saying my order is ready. I thought “oh they must have done that by accident” I get to restaurant 27 minutes after I ordered. I pay and tip. I did not think I needed to check the pizza considering (a.)It’s just a pepperoni pizza and (b.)There’s no way anyone could screw this order up. My mistake, I should have checked, I know better than that. I get home, open the box, it’s a cheese pizza. If you’ve ever gone to Maxwells, to save time when people order slices, they have cheese pies ready that sit and they throw toppings on a slice when ordered and warm them up in the oven. Totally fine, standard practice on the east coast. But what’s not fine is when someone orders an entire pie and you give them one that is pre cooked and has been sitting for a while. The pizza was stone cold and looked like hot garbage. That’s not what upset me though, what upset me is when I called back and said “hey I just got home and the pizza ordered doesn’t have any pepperoni on it.” And the person on the phone said “you ordered cheese” and I said “I just paid 26$ for this pizza and it’s not what I ordered” and the person said “no you ordered cheese.” Listen, I make mistakes, a lot of them, but I can with 100% certainty tell you that there is no way that I ordered a cheese pizza. I would never in my life order a plain cheese pizza. I’m not Dave Portnoy. Do yourself a favor, go anywhere else in Kimball because this place has turned into an absolute joke. Back when Tang and Kevin ran it, this would NEVER happen. Get it together and have a little pride in the product you put out. I want it to be good. I want to give local businesses money, but I cannot justify doing so if a place isn’t even...

Mediocre food served slowly by uninterested staff. We have been to Maxwells before and liked it, so through we would go there for lunch today; what a disappointment. We arrived shortly before noon with many tables open and were led to a massive booth. Ordering went fine, but it was over 1/2 an hour before our salads came (we were starting to joke that they were growing the lettuce), followed closely by the lunch specials we ordered. First the salads - when we ordered small ceasars, we asked for red wine vinegar also and the server said, sure. when the salads came, there was no vinegar. When we asked the waitress again, she had no reccolection that we had previously asked, said she would get it, disappeared and then came back past us with out to the computer to enter other orders. We are still not eating our salads at this point and her back is to us. When she turns around, she then stops a busboy and asks him to get the vingear. He bring us balsmic vinegar. By then the entrees had arrived. She could have just said they don't have red wine vinegar when we ordered. We have tortellini, a philly cheese steak (their featured sandwich) and a chicken parmesan sandwich. The tortellini was fine, but very rich, The Philly Cheese steak was mediocre at best - way overcooked, limp meat with hardly any cheese sauce. The chicken parm sandwich is a slab of breaded chicken with one slice of mozerella on it on two slices of bread with the marrianra on the side, but not spoon to scoop it onto the sandwich. The chicken was dry (the marinarra is excellent). At this point, about 40 min after we ordered, we were so hungry that we ate the food as we couldn't deal with starting over somewhere else. Then the topping on the cake - server never came by to give us our check. We finally went to the hostess stand to ask for it. No one (hostesses, server, manger) asked how our lunch was, so along with my payment, I wrote a note that I fully expect will not be read, since I was standing at the hostess stand writing the note on their sticky notes and no one even cared to ask what I was doing. With so many choices in NewPark, we won't be going back...
