Vampire Penguin Southaven — Restaurant in Southaven

I remember coming here when they first opened. It was great. Tonight we came in and the young lady at the counter was nice and took our order. The shaved ice was prepared well and we very much enjoyed it. We were the only customers at the time and when we went to sit down, the tables were still dirty from previous customers that hadn’t been there for a while. We know that because I finished a phone call in the parking lot in front of the store. We sat at the non sticky spots and ate. Before we left, we went to use the bathroom. The toilet had dried up pee all over it, the seat was so loose it was about to fall off, the paper towels were sitting on top of the dispenser, and the soap dispenser had no soap in it. I would get some of that if the place was slammed...

First timer. The reviews led me to believe that I was in for a treat, but it felt more like a trick. I paid $5 for a mound of ice in the shape of a cup, on a plate with syrup, whipped cream, and other garnishing. None of the flavors mixed, and each bite felt empty... like eating snow which is what they advertise. Its a cute concept but its not worth the price. Maybe some condensed milk or some kind of sweet cream would give it more substance. I thought about what was missing all the way to the last bite. There was this lady staring at my friend and I inside the restaurant, and it was a little uncomfortable but that's not the restaurants fault. We just didn't feel too...

First time trying it and I am writing the review as I eat. This is absolutely delicious and such a great texture. I got the strawberry cheesecake and the flavors are so well mixed you don’t get any bites that are more sweet or less flavorful than the other. My experience was made even better by their awesome employee Mikey! He heard it was our first time here and took the time to explain all the flavors and he actually recommended the one that I got. All the while he had a smile on his face and was just a delight to be around. It’s so rare to go somewhere where the employees enjoy their job and care about each individual customer.
