Service was terrible. Food wasn’t much better. When we arrived there were many open tables and only one or two tables outside with people. We sat down and waited a while to place a drink order. Just ordered a tea and Pepsi. Drinks took about 10 minutes to arrive. I’ll repeat, most of the restaurant was empty. Finally were able to place an order with an appetizer. Appetizer took a while, lot longer than it should have. Then waited at least 20 minutes after we had finished the appetizer for the main course. Mine was a Cobb salad and a cup of gumbo. It wasn’t a Cobb salad but a garden salad. No egg, a few tiny pieces of bacon and basic salad. Gumbo seriously seemed to be that ready made roux diluted with hot water with a few slices of sausage and a spoonful of rice. Thought it was supposed to be a seafood gumbo. No seafood. Water thin. Nothing else. I’ve never seen a gumbo like that. Hamburger wasn’t seasoned. Sloppy work. Terrible service. Came across as if no one cared except the hostess. We were at least better off than the guys beside us. They waited so long one of them asked us if we had trouble with service. One and done. I’d give a 0 if I could. Cost over $70 for $10 of food. Save your money. Go...
Read moreWas hopeful about trying a new place, but the music was way too loud for a space that size & it was impossible to talk without shouting. Waitstaff seemed disorganized & we had to flag down waitress and ask for water & tea refills, plates for appetizer, etc. Food was disappointing- jerk chicken sandwich was so spicy that it was inedible, mac & cheese was over-peppered, green beans were flavorless, over-peppered mush, lobster roll was completely flavorless (basically just cold thawed tails on buttered toast - no seasoning, no mayo, nothing.) Ordered bowl of lobster bisque & was brought a cup. Asked server & waitress if that was the correct size for bowl & both said it was. At end of meal with check, waitress hands us a to-go container with the rest of the soup in it to make it a bowl - never apologized or asked if a credit was preferred, just handed us the container. The fried green tomatoes were the only saving grace - they were great! Very disappointed that a $90 meal for 3 was mostly inedible. We will...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Lucky Dog in Silo Square, Southaven, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual night out with friends. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that our dining experience was top-notch.
However, I do have one suggestion for improvement. While the cocktail menu at Lucky Dog is decent, I believe they have the potential to do even better. By adding some more creative and unique cocktail options, Lucky Dog could elevate their drink selection to match the quality of their food and service.
Overall, I highly recommend Lucky Dog to anyone looking for a great pub experience in Southaven. With a few tweaks to their cocktail menu, this place has the potential to become a true gem...
