Last night was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had and it’s safe to conclude discrimination was at the core of our mistreatment. I highly do NOT recommend Sippin Silo and wish there was an option to leave zero stars.

We had a reservation for six as we were told over the phone that the number could not be increased (but walk ins are welcome). After our table of six filled, a very RUDE server explained that if anyone showed up they would be sat somewhere else in the mostly EMPTY restaurant.

We asked if the empty spaces near us were reserved and she stated for walk ins. Our additional friends walked in and were told they must sit at the empty bar and not any of the empty unreserved tables.

Two members of our group reasonably tried to speak with someone who eventually called the owner. Mr. Patel (according to Google) made it very clear that “[he] didn’t care about our money” nor did he care for us as a customer. He stated that we could leave. That is exactly what we did. However, before leaving another lady that looks like us walked in. I guess they thought she was with our group because for about 10 minutes no one acknowledged her.

We had a great time at another restaurant close by and witnessed Sippin Silo remain mostly empty- I guess waiting for walk ins or reservations that don’t look like us. We will definitely be sippin somewhere else!

The only good thing about this place was our waitress, Ashley. As the other employees misquoted policy, gave hateful stares, took pictures of us- she continued to ask if we needed anything and was the ONLY person trying to be helpful....

Our book club had a reservation for six, but a few additional members joined us. We were understanding of the situation and simply asked if the extra guests could be seated. There were several open tables (none marked as reserved), and we assumed it wouldn’t be a problem—especially on a quiet Wednesday night in DeSoto County.

Unfortunately, the staff (with the exception of our incredible waitress, Ashley) made it clear we were unwelcome. One of the hostesses even had what I can only describe as a tantrum, suggesting our extra guests should sit at the bar—completely contradicting what she had just told us about walk-ins being allowed at open tables.

After two of our group spoke with a man who said he was a relative of the owner (possibly of Indian descent), it became clear there would be no reasonable resolution. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, they seemed unwilling to accommodate or even speak to us with basic courtesy. Ultimately, we paid for our drinks and left.

I’ve traveled extensively and visited countless restaurants and bars, and I rarely leave reviews. But this place stood out for all the wrong reasons. If your group is diverse or your skin tone is a bit darker than average, be warned—you may not be treated with the same respect as others.

That said, a huge thank you to Ashley, our server—she was the only bright spot in an otherwise...

Now that I have the time to write this review, let me get it done. Why have the option to make reservations when you're not going to honor it when your guests arrive? Had reservations for two at 7pm to celebrate me and my twin sister birthday and when we arrived, we were told that we could either sit at the bar or sit in the waiting area until they had a table available and they didn’t know how long the wait would be. We noticed that it was an empty table with no one seating and we asked “why couldn’t we sit there” and we were told that it was being held for a party of four. So being that my sister had been wanting to try this place for awhile, we decided that we would sit at the bar until a table came available, but seeing the other party of three not four, of a certain race, come in behind us and be immediately seated wasn’t fair to us at all, so we decided to leave. Why couldn’t we be seated and they waited? I’m highly disappointed and disgruntled that this is still happening in the day of time. Thank God we were able to get same day reservations at “Napa Valley Cafe” where we were greeted with smiles, a personalized birthday menu and live...

I went for my friend’s birthday party. They have a small but comfortable waiting area inside. Charcuterie boards were excellent! Chicken Tikka Flatbread didn’t taste great to me. I took maybe a bite or so. I generally love Chicken Tikka so it was disappointing. I gave it away to a friend. Drinks were great, but was a bit pricey. I really enjoyed the lemon drop, but I did not enjoy the wine my friend gave me from the wine bar. She gave it to me because she didn’t like it because it was very bitter. One of my friends had the chicken, bacon ranch and said it was delicious. Inside was cute but small. Seating was comfortable. There is also an outdoor patio area with tables. They are equipped for a few large parties. You must have a reservation. Service was okay. The bathrooms were next to a table, so it was very awkward going in and coming out.

Sippin Silo is the kind of spot that makes you leave already planning your next visit—proof you’ve found a true gem!! From the moment we walked in, the service was flawless and the small plates were nothing short of spectacular (hello, culinary bliss!). The self-serve wine bar? Utterly delightful—you’ll feel like a sommelier as you pour your own perfectly chilled sips. Cocktails were crafted with care, and every bite had us scraping the plates clean. Best part? The prices feel like a steal for the quality you get. Everything was so fresh that it made us question if this local spot was farm to table. Grab your friends, go for girls’ night, and be prepared to fall in love. We certainly did—and we can’t WAIT to go back!

To say this spot was much needed is an understatement. From the fig jam to the elote flat bread and I don’t even have to get into the drinks. The chai cocktail or the bartenders special 😍😍😍. Also- I’m not a wine girl by any means… but the self service made me down a couple of amazing glasses- which I chose from the label 😂😂 Also- people with kids, my 7 year old loved his pizza and even went after the adults choices. 10/10, been twice since opening. Reserve online if you want a table- we almost decided to just wing it but once we arrived so glad we grabbed a reservation ❤️❤️❤️😐
