This is my second time here. Both times I got loaded teas and they get the job done. This last time I went I decided to add a macaroon. I got a raspberry one. It tasted as if it wasn’t fresh and had a “refrigerator taste.” Like when you leave something uncovered in the fridge too long and it takes on the taste and smell of a fridge. I’m saying I paid almost $4 for this and it was nasty. I even tried to take another bite. I called the store to inform them. The person who answered the phone responded “The macaroons are made fresh and have a gooey and crunch texture if you haven’t had one before.” I responded it’s nothing about the texture it’s the taste of the macaroon. It tasted stale. She said okay. And I just hung up the phone. I felt like the customer service was not on point at the time of this situation. So, I’m not sure if I’d be back. The worker seemed to get offended, but I’m just letting you know they taste stale especially with it being on the expensive side....
Read moreBeans and Leaves is my favorite coffee shop in the Southaven/Olive Branch area! Consistency is key, and the coffee here is consistently great. I've tried a few different drinks, and my favorite go to is the "Churro latte" from their fall menu, which is great both iced and hot. However, last time I went I was in the mood for some iced matcha. I asked the ladies behind the counter if they had any matcha specials, and they pointed me to their strawberry matcha with strawberry cold foam. I opted to just get the regular matcha, but with the strawberry cold foam. This drink was so good I just had to write a review for it!! The matcha was very smooth, and the cold foam was thick, creamy, and sweet, it added so much to the drink. The quality you get here is so much better than anything you could get from Starbucks and the service is always top notch. The people here are always so friendly, helpful, and they put great care into each drink they make. Support local, support...
Read moreThis shop has been on my list a while and I’m so upset that I didn’t visit this place earlier! There are so many tea and coffee options that I didn’t know where to start!! I ended up with the seasonal ‘Irish man’ latte which was delicious. The cream cheese danish was warmed up on request and buttery good! The creme cheese filling was a tad too sweet but overall I enjoyed my time at Bean and Leaves. Parking wasn’t too bad and there was a good amount of seating though it was pretty full with patrons. I hope to come back to try the other awesome sounding selections of coffee!!!
*A note though to the owner/those in charge of editing the digital menu- please consider changing “chai tea latte” to just chai latte. To be frank, as an avid tea drinker I never purchase tea from a shop that puts “chai tea” anywhere on their menu. I’d ask you to google why this wording is...
