I went to two other Popeye's locations before I was forced to drive to the Telegraph and 12 mile location. The Grand River and Southfield Fwy location was closed today, so they advised that I visit the 8 mile location. So, I did. The drive-thru line there was very long, which forced me to go inside. When doing so, no one ever turned around to help or acknowledge me., so I left. Since my husband wanted Popeye's for dinner today, I persevered and drove down to this location. I have had bad experiences here before - mostly with customer service. The food is usually okay, but the employees are super ghetto and the opposite of customer centered. Today took the cake, however, and the Popeye's franchise should be really concerned about the employees that are hired to take orders from their customers. A young man was at the register helping one other customer. When they stepped aside, I walked up and waited to be greeted, as he fumbled with the cash in his drawer. He looked up and inappropriately said "what up" or something like that. He then took a hand full of cash from his drawer over near the drive thru area and was stooped down on the floor. When he finally returned to the register, he said something like "what you need"? I replied " what about welcome to Popeye's May I Take Your Order Please"? He responded "Naaa I don't do all of that". I replied, "that is the way you should greet a paying customer". (After all, without customers, he would have no job.) I placed my order, and he got it wrong (to no surprise). When he finally got it right, I waited for him to tell me my total. I handed him my money and observed him shaking his head at me, as if I had done something wrong. I left the xpunter in utter disbelief at his response to me... Sooooo dissappointing. What is the world coming to is all I keep thinking. If customers allow young people to treat them like their home boys or home girls, they will never learn that there is a time and place for everything. They need to understand that when you are working, you need to switch gears and wear the appropriate hat. I said it before, but I will never go back to this Popeye's. They have terrible service. I will go all the way over to the Plymouth and Telegraph location where they know how to treat their customers - with common courtesy...

During this time, there was a long line (no problem at all), I expected this due to the inside behind closed to the public. After 35-40 minutes, I am finally able to order. The young lady taking orders says āGo ahead with your order!ā I literally laughed because it was so rude and unwelcoming. I proceeded with my order and pull around to the window.
I notice the young girl on her cellphone but I didnāt say anything to her. I was definitely annoyed because along with her using her cellphone and showing photos to her co-workers ā they werenāt focused as well. The guy walk up to the window and says ā$10.88.ā I just gave him my card without acknowledging once again thereās no professional greeting. He handed me my food after 3-4 minutes without looking directly at me. I was getting ready to drive off but felt the need to check my food. I had ordered a 3-piece spicy (2 Drumsticks and 1 Breast) with a frozen strawberry lemonade but I received a 1 breast , wing and drumstickā all original and a melted strawberry lemonade that looked very pink instead of the branded photo version . So I say my food is wrong and it wasnāt an apology basically asked what did I order ā I showed him the receipt. He comes back after trying to correct the order and says āWe donāt have any spicy up.ā I said but I ordered spicy. Iām really frustrated at this point. He was like thereās an 8 minute wait. I said I can wait 8 minutes I waited this long. Meanwhile, I notice one of their workers walk pass with a frozen strawberry lemonade that definitely looked like the branded photo. I tell the guy after he brought my new meal ā my frozen strawberry lemonade doesnāt look like your coworker. He said thatās because I mixed yours and I said ānah buddy this isnāt the right one.ā He goes back to make a new one and brought the right one.
I drove off the lot ā checked my new order... only to realized they gave me all original AGAIN. I was disturbedā I didnāt call them neither did I go back. This place is horrible! And this is my FIRST review regarding any...

Ive come here several times and can count on one hand how many times they gave me what I actually ordered and there is always a ridiculous wait. But I keep coming back hoping they've gotten better. Well this is the last time. I get there a little after 11:00pm. Its Friday night. There were at least 8 cars in front of me. Took 15 minutes before I could even place an order. I order an 11 piece meal, two additional wings, and apple pie. Wait another 15 to 20 min before I get my food. I knew I should of checked my order but I didn't want to hold up those who had been waiting behind me. I pulled up a little just to do a quick look before getting on the road and noticed right away there was no apple pie although I WAS charged for it. I wasn't suprised because the guy seemed annoyed that I even asked for one. He had told me it was 7 min wait on them but I figured what difference would it make if I have to wait even longer than that to get to the window. Anyhow, I decided to let it go since it would take forever to get back through the line. Plus I was just getting off work and too tired to bother. I get home and open my boxes and sure enough the order is wrong. They give me only 9 pieces in the box instead of the 11 piece I order. They did NOT give me the extra two wings that again I WAS charged extra for. And all the chicken was spicy when I asked for mild. My daughter can not eat it. Im furious. Anyone who goes to Popeyes knows that their food is not cheap. They charge too much to be messing up people's food so severely. I paid $35 for 9 pieces of chicken that didn't even look fresh and couple sides and biscuits? ! I tried to call several times but no answer. I will be going up there tomorrow. I refuse to let it go this time. This place really needs new management and new workers that know how to count apparently and don't treat people with disdain. Don't waste your time or money here.
