Flava's Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Southport

Flava’s has tremendously good ice cream. I had the strawberry cheesecake, and blackcherry Ice cream and also had a taste of their coffee ice cream as well as the trashcan ice cream. Outstanding!! They’re right there close to the water so you can get to SIT ON THE BENCH WITH YOUR MASK OFF.

As with all the other restaurants, shops and other businesses I went to in the area, these places had CLEARLY put out signs asking folks to wear masks or no service. There were folks that forgot to put on their masks and did so as soon as they got up to the window. No issues at all with any of the folks out there.

I believe it is their business and they get to set the rules, if you don’t like it, go get ice cream somewhere else. The place has great ice cream and all the workers provided great service. I sure...

It's a sad day today.... Everyone yelling about ethnic equality. We go to get ice cream with the kids after a nice dinner. We get up to the window to order and the young lady asks if we have masks, I say we do not. She asked if they gave us one would we put it on we say no problem. Than an African American gentleman and his son come to the adjacent window right next to me with no masks on. The young lady helping them looked at another lady who shock her head in a "no" manner and then said nothing to him or his son. We get our order and walk away. Two other customers in line behind us asked us if we were asked to put on masks and the other gentleman was not. I said correct they turned around and walked away. Ice cream recipes are simply not good. Flavors do not permeate through ice cream is the best way to explain it. For example, I got the flavor peanut butter cup. Expecting a flavor of peanut butter. Instead, what I got was literally pure chocolate ice cream which had literally two individual nuggets of peanut butter. So I was essentially eating chocolate ice cream the entire time and that’s all it tasted like. This has been the same experience for every flavor I've tried there three times. I’ve had ice cream from there. Very very disappointing flavors and recipes. Place is a total tourist trap. Management needs to revamp all the ice...
