Today I went in with my mother for some coffee as we do most of the time on a daily basis and had a terrible unexpected experience. Most mornings it’s the same the girls who are so absolutely sweet and remember our orders but today It wasn’t. It was a new staff who did not seem happy to be doing their job. The person who took our order was Jamie. She was EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT. Didn’t even say barely two words to us other than critiquing How we wanted our drinks made. My mom simply wanted some almond milk in her coffee with 2 pumps of simple syrup and to leave some room for some half and half and she abbruply made a face and questioned it with a frank face. Then we were deciding on if we wanted a 16 ounce or a 24, and the girl Jamie seemed to be annoyed about that. Then grabbed the gift certificate we had and didn’t say a word after that or a thank you. I am disgraced at the way we were treated and would not return due to the way she acted. We live in a beautiful town full of happy happy joyful people... she must not be from around here because that is in no way right as to how a...
Read moreMy drink was made with coffee when it was supposed to be a milkshake (big difference) and although the barista remade it, she didn’t really apologize. Very tight to get around when busy because it has a not great layout where the line to order also sorta blocks the side room. I had trouble navigating as someone with mobility problems, and that made it more annoying that my order was wrong because it meant I had to go up 4 times (to order, to collect, to tell them it was wrong, to collect correction) and each time navigate a maze of people and furniture. Two of the baristas also started arguing within earshot, which is uncomfortable to listen to when you’re trying to relax. One barista basically accused the other of just standing around but their conversation was very audible and uncomfortable to listen to. Overall just not the high quality service I would expect for the relatively...
Read moreWas there on Sunday September 10th around 11am to grab a coffee, they weren’t busy at all. We over heard one girl tell another one “you win” my Husband asked the cashier “what did you win?” She ignored him and took my order. My husband asked her again and she still ignored him. My husband said “really… what did you win?” He asked jokingly. She told him and said “we were playing paper rock scissors to see who would take the next customer”.
My husband thought it was unprofessional. We were waiting on the ferry to take us to fort fisher and we were almost late because it took 45 minutes for them to make our sandwiches. Mine was fine but my husband’s sausage Patty felt like it came right out of the fridge.
It’s Sad we’ve been here numerous times while on vacation we’ve always had good service and my husband felt like we were...
