I’m very sad about this experience as I have been choosing Zales for over a decade for all of our jewelry purchases. Let me first start by saying, every other Zales store I have ever been to gets 5+ stars for impeccable service.
We went into the Sparks, NV Outlet store at Legends today, 12/18/2021 around 12:00pm to buy a new Diamond band and decided to check out a great sale they had.
They were extremely busy so we were very patient. While all of the customers completed purchases and eventually left, we were being ignored. I still thought nothing of it, and finally my wife asked for help. The first woman acted like we were inconveniencing her by even being there and said she would find someone else to help us. She then proceeded to greet and assist a customer who walked in the door and never helped us.
We were treated as second class citizens and I can only assume this was because we are a lesbian interracial couple. Every straight white couple that entered for the full 30 minutes after we’d entered was greeted and helped immediately.
We were told to stand by the ring case and wait. I finally asked my wife if we could forgo the sale and just wait to purchase her new ring at full price at our usual Zales location in Reno, and she agreed. When we got to the car we both realized how awful we felt and have spent the last 2 hours trying to understand why these things still happen.

Read moreI’m not one to leave reviews, but I hope my experience can provide redirection for the employee who helped me. My fiancé and I went on 6/24 between 1-3PM, looking to have my engagement ring cleaned. My ring was not purchased here, but I was hoping to see if it would be possible to have cleaned. I unfortunately did not get the name of the employee who helped me, but she was the only lady on the floor. After inquiring whether my ring can be cleaned, she examined my ring and informed me that she can only brush the band of my ring since my center stone is an opal. Now I understand that an opal is not a recommended stone for various reasons, and the employee asked if I was warned beforehand. After saying yes, she rudely said “so I see someone didn’t listen” and proceeded to clean my band. This may be silly, but I found the comment completely uncalled for. I would have loved to browse at the wedding bands, but after the display of unprofessionalism I decided to leave. I don’t see myself returning to this store, and I am unsure if the employee meant to say this in a rude way, so I hope she can correct the way she executes her words towards...
Read moreOkay I did at first give this place 5 stars. But that was before they lied to me. I went and ordered a ring around dec 20th and was told for resizing it would only take a week to 2. I stressed I am moving states soon so it would need to come soon. They said no worries you will get it. It is now several weeks later. My est time for it to come back was the 11th Jan 2021. Its now the 17th and still shows it hasn't been worked on yet it's just sitting there. I have to move in just a few short days and may have to try and get my money back somehow. Either by contacting higher management or going in store. They dont have the ring, I dont have the ring, it is beyond the est time they gave me and frankly I kinda want the money back now so we can go to another jeweler. Upon looking online I noticed all the bad reviews from people and them not getti g there ring back when stated from resizing. Some said it took months.
