Great Donuts, terrible everything else.
Their drinks are overpriced and not particularly well made, they even manage to mess up a cup of water. When I was buying a dozen donuts I asked for a large cup of water with no ice because I desperately needed water to refill my own drinking container that already had ice in it. They charged me $0.27, I'm starting to get used to the fact that South Carolina charges for water even though it's weird, and most other states don't do that and plenty of States actually illegal, but whatever. So I give them the $0.27 they come back about a minute later with a very very small cup. However, their drive thru was absolutely slammed. So after checking the donuts were the correct Donuts that I ordered, and looked good (which they did because the donuts here are always fire) I went ahead and just pulled forward. But when I opened the very small cup, which appeared to be about a 6oz cup? It's was filled to the brim with ice and about half full of water. Now this is the exact opposite of what I asked for, and I've never had a actually pleasant conversation with one of the employees at this location? They are always very curt and very quick. And I don't think I've ever even been smile that. That said, this place is always extremely busy, and it's a donut shop. Not a drink shop. I don't drink caffeinated drinks, my girlfriend has had a few coffees here and always complains about them being poorly mixed? And given that they manage to mess up a cup of water? I'm guessing the drinks are not their specialty. However, they never must have my donut order, their donuts are actually more affordable than the Greenville location where they don't have half of the menu available, their drive-thru is always packed, and their donuts are terrible and dry and usually taste about three days old. So if you want really great donuts, come here. They will be basically thrown out the drive-through window at you, but they will be delicious. If you want conversation and smiling faces and a really nice drink, go to a...
Read moreOkay, I am temporarily unable to get around. Tore my Achilles’ tendon playing soccer less than a week ago still swollen. I am non weight baring so I have crutches.
Anyways, I was getting donuts for the workers at NCG Cinema. I go through the drive through and listen to the buy one get one donuts dozen voice over through the drive thru. I tell them I would like that special. The employee in the drive thru seemed confused. I get to the window and they hand me 1 assorted box of donuts. I paid ~$17 for 1 set of donuts and 2 small drinks. I asked if I had another box and handed the receipt. If I told you at the drive thru that I needed 2 boxes of donuts. Couldn’t the employee just explain that to me and add it? I would have paid for it. I needed it regardless. Then they have a sign on the drive thru window where they can’t add to the order at the window. The line was wrapped around the building so I was forced to come inside after just waiting in the long drive thru once. I came in to pay another $8 for glazed donuts. The donuts weren’t hot they weren’t even warm. No one tried to open the door on my way in our out. Not even fellow other humans. But It’s okay. Black female, used to it. When I was able bodied, I open the door for anyone, male, female able bodied and disabled.
On my way out, I almost dropped my donut box. I doubted that the staff would have provided me with a new box. I am astounded the amount of people that do not help when they see someone struggling. What a sad world we live in. On a Sunday on the lords day.
If I fell who do you think would have been liable for damages.
The saddest part about all of this is that I had horrible service at IHOP as well. I waited for 40 min and called twice and walked inside for food there. My food was cold. I paid $24 for cold food that wasn’t even good. So all and all...
Read moreLast night(May 8th) we made a late night(11pm) run to grab some doughnuts and had a weird drive thru experience. First, before we were able to order the lady just kept telling us to wait...and wait...and wait....about 15 min. Then, when trying to order the lady said she had trouble hearing us and when she tried to read back our order we could barely understand her/speaker going in & out. So my wife and mother-in-law got out and walked up to the speaker to try and better communicate. The lady said sternly "we don't serve walk-ups!" I said: they got out of our car so you can communicate better. She repeated that they don't serve walk-ups. I said: if you can see them standing there then you should be able to see the car and know that they aren't "walk-ups." They got out and went to the speaker box so you can hear them better. Would you like us to pull up to the window since we're having trouble communicating? She said "NO, you need to order from the speaker box." Then the 1 car behind us left and she said "you just cost me a customer." Anyway, we finally pull up to the window and she says "sorry, we're just so busy tonight." I didn't say anything but was confused. How can she say they are very busy when the inside is closed and the only customer she is waiting on is me?? We had 2 separate orders (4 dozen) and she messed up both orders. It felt like a hostile experience from the start. Which was surprising because she was probably in her upper...
