I was looking for a used bookstore while I was in the area. I found this on my search and decided to go visit. As soon as we walked into the bookstore, a cat came to greet us. He was a super cool laid-back cat, and that was my favorite part about the bookstore. They unfortunately did not have a lot of used books. They mainly carried new books. I also did not have a lot of classics in print (Dickens for example). It was very easy to find what I was looking for. Everything was very organized and neat. I unfortunately was unable to find anything on this visit. There's a coffee shop next door, so this would be a fun stop if you're looking to spend an afternoon with a book and a coffee.

Hub City Bookshop is one of our favorite stops whenever we’re in town! We went in looking for two books for upcoming baby showers and left with three bags full. Their selection is fantastic—everything from NYT bestsellers and local authors to children’s books, fiction, nonfiction, bookmarks, and even fun quirky titles. They also sell great canvas bags to carry your finds home. And of course, we love visiting with the sweetest bookstore cat, Zora. Such a gem of a place!

Easily lands in the top 5 bookstores I’ve ever been to. Anywhere. In the world. (And I’ve visited bookstores on several continents). Well-curated selection of a variety of genres. Great atmosphere and an adorable store cat, to boot :) Highly, highly recommend.

A great environment for both writers and book lovers! My wife and I have lived in quite a few areas throughout the United States and Germany. We have never seen such a great community outreach program quite like this one. The Spartanburg community as whole thrives because of these types of organizations that allow local up and coming artists to hone their skills. Make sure to check their calendar to see future meet and greet dates as well as workshops to help hone your own writing skills. Did I mention that they have an excellent book selection and they're located next to a...

Quaint little local bookstore, great for sitting down with a good book.

The Hub City Bookshop & Press doesn't have the size and selection of say Barnes & Noble or other franchise bookstores, but it does have history and atmosphere. They heavily emphasize the purchase of used books, which is a fantastic cause to get behind. There is some seating available throughout the store, and they share a door with the coffee shop within the same building.

Support local business by shopping at Hub City Bookshop & Press next time you're looking for...
