Green Bean — Restaurant in Spearfish

Our family discovered the Green Bean when we were in town this summer on vacation. We liked it so much we ended up going back multiple times. It is an upscale cafe with a decidedly local feel to it. the coffee and snack selections are excellent and the staff are very, very friendly. They even remembered us from our first visit and struck up a conversation with us! The cafe is very family variety with a pretty decent sized seating area in side (maybe 8 or so tables). It is on the main stretch in Spearfish, just off the hwy, but it is in a remodeled home so it isn't obviously a cafe when you drive by. The shop's sign is outside on the corner of their property, but it is slightly hidden from the road. If you don't know where it is or what you're looking for, you would easily miss it. There isn't any parking lot, so you will have to locate street-side parking when you visit. They do have a drive through, but it is clearly a very popular place and every time we went there was easily a line of 6 to 8 cars in the driveway. The scenery is more than enough to keep me here is a beautiful coffee house literally is built out of a very large house it seems to have existed here for almost 90 years… I love the interior it’s comfortable and in the warmer months there’s even wonderful outdoor seating.

Now let’s get to the fun part, the breakfast sandwich I had it on a buttery croissant with sausage and pepper jack cheese it didn’t really have time to cool down because I inhaled it I am naturally I’m very talkative person so that must mean I have a big mouth… And I took big bites and this thing was so good it was gone in less than three minutes…

Had to have the Italian cream soda because I was already talking everybody’s years of being annoying from other caffeine and had previously in life I love the cream soda especially with whip cream… I had to go with strawberries for my flavor.

Green Bean Coffeehouse - They do have many delectable food and drink options, that are very good. Service is friendly too. Where the experience lacks here, is in how quickly your order is prepared, and how hot it may, or may not be upon it being delivered to your car door. My wife and I waited a while the first time, and even longer the second. A drive through coffee house shouldn't keep people in line for 20 minutes just to get a cup of coffee. Comparatively speaking, any Starbucks I have ever ordered from, easily can handle many more customers. All the while delivering hot/cold drinks as they are intended to be served. At Green Bean, our drinks were lukewarm by the point they were handed to us. If you have plenty of spare time, certainly, it is a great place for drinks, snacks or lunch. Will it be hot? Maybe not.
