Finally got my “Hefty” boy on down to Jewel of the North in the heart of Browns. I have been hearing incredible things about the burgers and chicken sandwiches. The chicken sandwich is legit the size of my fat boy head. The flavors are all bonkers with their house made spicy mayo using locally sourced and made Elixir Rum Honey Hot sauce. The chicken is seasoned and fried to perfection with elite level crispy ness and flavor all the way through. The tang of the pickles and crunch of the fresh lettuce give your mouth the full experience you want when having a proper chicken sandwich. The locally sourced French fries are also perfectly seasoned and crisp and generously portioned. The patio is also the spot with plenty of space and tons of shade or sunny parts depending on how you roll. The service here is impeccable. We were greeted warmly and checked on the perfect amount of times to top off water and drinks and genuine checks on our experience. Loved chatting with all of the staff we encountered and will be back to try the locally sourced farm to table burger soon. 10/10 “Hefty” boy approved. JOTN is located in a charming area in Browne's Addition. I absolutely love the charm of an old Victorian house and JOTN is a little gem. I had recently seen a post about it on Instagram, so when my friend invited me to go I was thrilled. There is outdoor seating on the patio and porch, and additional seating inside. They even have a small bar area upstairs, which is where we sat. There were two gentlemen working when we came in and they both provided excellent service. We ordered a watermelon margarita, a grapefruit negroni, and a gin daisy. All three were really good. I highly recommend the watermelon margarita. It was a fav for all three of us. We ordered the catfish sliders, JOTN chicken sandwich, and the Chicken Shawarma. All three dishes were packed full of flavor. I am not a fan of fish, but tried a small bite of the catfish and was pleasantly surprised. It didn't taste "fishy" and the blackened seasoning was on point. The fries were some of the best fries I've had and the fry sauce complimented them very well. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. I am really looking forward to going back in the near future.
