I’ve been to this place many times and enjoyed the service and the food, especially the avocado toast. I had a baby four months ago and this was first time I got out to have the toast I’ve been craving. Moms would understand how much work it takes to get the little one ready, go through the drive and than to take the stroller out and get the baby strapped in and ready to go. I’ve done all that. I went on the ramp at the back of the cafe, but the door was locked with a notice to use the other door which has two set of stairs! Such inconsideration to people in wheelchairs and moms with strollers. I found their phone number and called three times in hopes they could unlock the door, but no-one answered the phone. Since I’ve gone this far I decided to still go in and used the front door while carrying the stroller in on the stairs. Only to be greeted by grumpy barista and refusing the service due to me not wearing the mask. In fact Everyone in the cafe was not wearing one. People right next to me were not wearing them! The worst part is that she was absolutely rude about it. No worries, I’ll take my business elsewhere. I will never go back there again. A tip for the owner, get rid of her before she gets rid of your repeat customers. Unfortunately Hospitality and customer service is not her field. COVID 19 is not a a reason to be...

I admit. I chose this coffee shop because of the aesthetic (guilty). I just moved back to the area and have driven by but haven’t stopped in until now. Old dormitory building is owned by one person and they did a fantastic job with renovations. Atmosphere is inviting, serene, vibrant and quaint all in one. They had swing doors - jazz and other music playing over the speakers. Barista said the shop reminded her of Europe and I will have to agree with her. Food and drinks are good. My pistachio matcha and breakfast sandwich had plenty of flavor. I enjoyed my selections. They were better than most coffee shops I have been to. Would come again and order food and drinks. Highly recommend you stop in at least once. If I lived closer this would be in my top 3 frequently visited coffee shops.

Great for studying, meeting friends or colleagues. Plenty of bar seating with the option to charge your devices. They have a handicap accessible ramp in the back of the building btw!

Parking was my only frustration at first but people left shortly after I arrived and I got a parking spot. Parking is limited...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ladder Coffee in downtown Spokane is a gem! The hip atmosphere immediately makes you feel welcome, with its modern decor and cozy seating. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready with a smile and a great recommendation. Their coffee is simply delicious, especially the fresh cortado, which has become my go-to order. Ladder Coffee Roasters started with a vision to bring exceptional coffee to Spokane, and they've certainly succeeded. The passion for quality and community is evident in every cup. One of the best parts about visiting Ladder is the amazing smells wafting in from the bakery next door. The aroma of fresh sourdough is irresistible. Make sure to grab a baked item while you're there – it’s the perfect complement to your coffee. Highly recommend stopping by Ladder Coffee for a fantastic coffee experience!
