I really hate to do this, we ordered ALL proteins off this menu not one signal one was hot. At best warm. At $21 a plate I expect the hot stuff to be hot and cold to be cold serving Luke warm poultry and pork is not only disgusting its dangerous! The only thing that came to our table hot was the crinkle cut fries that were listed as shoe string. Every surface was sticky, the menus hadn't been wiped down recently if ever, they were covered in splattered brown specks equally sticky as other surfaces. I saw this restaurant listed on FB market place and being very lower south hill I truly expected better. The price point for this food was crazy for what id classify as fast food, we were never asked if it was dine in or take up, but our food was prepped for take out, since they didn't ask upon ordering I naturally assumed the understanding was dine in. 3/4 of the containers was a healthy portion of rice, the proteins did come in generous portions also with pretty "good" flavor, however due to the temp of the food we did not eat most of it. The Mac salad was pretty decent, defiantly not reesers. Honestly had the food been hot and the restaurant been clean this could have been a repeat visit, however due to cleainess, and food temp I will not return. Everyone else in my party feels this review was very generous and maybe so there are certainly better choices for Hawaiian food in spokane and there are certainly worse choices. UPDATE : I appreciate the reply however I would have better appreciated the reply before I read reviews from over a year ago with the same complaints. You said you held yourself to a higher standard if that was true, why am I complaining about things people have previously complained about? That higher standard should have kicked in and the issues addressed so at my FIRST visit to did not echo previous complaints; sticky surfaces, unclean environment, below temperature meats. Your gonna make someone sick!! Being so close to the hospital hold yourself to a higher standard dont just say it do it! I am so disappointed in your reply as it lacks integrity due to the fact my complaints are OLD complaints that had not been addressed. Please don't bother to respond anyone is able to read old complaints and and see how they stack up with their experience your sincerity was squashed when I saw you obviously didn't correct the same complaints...
Read more4 Stars go to the guy who was manning the restaurant solo. What I don't get is, when there is a staff shortage where are the owners? Isn't it their restaurant and isn't it their responsibility to step in when there's a shortage? The guy who was there doing it all was very considerate and friendly. Didn't complain or make irritating faces as any would under the circumstances. As far as the food, unfortunately I have to give it a 2 Star. It was very bland. The mac salad was not anywhere near true Hawaiian mac salad. Same goes with the kalua pork...so bland and tasteless. Garlic chicken on the other hand was hard and I wondered if there was actually chicken within all the hard, overly salty 'rocks'. The flank steak was not as plentiful as the pics we saw on their page. It too was hard like jerky and way too much sauce. But at least it was good, had it been tender and juicy it would've been winnas. But it wasn't so. Then there's the teri chicken. Never seen teri chicken like that, in chunks, nor have I tasted teri sauce like that. Like it doesn't even taste or smell like teri, even the color is off. I thought these owners were from Hawaii but I must be mistaken because this food, none of it is authentic Hawaiian flavors. Very disappointed. Pea salad was good but it had chunks of cheese in it, not that that's a problem but never seen that before either. Lastly they have this seasoning they made up themselves I think, called "Maui Wowee" , wrong, it's more like "Maui Me Thinks Not". It was on the fries and it was so disgusting in flavor had to throw the entire order away. No kidding. No mochiko chicken and no katsu available which is odd since there's no shortage of chicken or the ingredients it takes to make these two dishes so all I can surmise is the owners are too lazy to make the effort to keep their entire menu available, maybe they don't care all that much in pleasing their customers nor care if they return. Which makes sense since they leave one person to do all the work thus making costumers wait longer than they should have to. We won't be back. 75 bucks wasted since most of the food went...
