If you're a Person of Color I would highly recommend NOT coming to this establishment. When we arrived, we asked for a table for four. We weren't guided to our table, nor was it sanitized, nor were we given menus or any attention. We waited for 15 minutes for any of the servers to come to us and provide a menu. The waitresses were staring at us, sitting there and never came to us. We ended up looking up the menu on our phones. Later we went inside and ordered, as we were walking into the restaurant, we saw the manager come out and personally serve a caucasian group of people. Once inside, we ordered our food and were asked if we wanted to dine in, we said YES. We have also mentioned this to the the outside servers as well. While waiting, none of the servers came by to check on us to see if we needed anything. Mind you, we have waited for over 30 minutes and weren't attended to once. One of the servers finally provided our food but, it was TAKE OUT. We stated multiple times that we are dining in, inside and out of the restaurant. And when the server came, she just dropped the food and didn't ask if we need any utensils, plates or anything. We asked, may we have plates and forks. As she left we saw a caucasian family come in, attended to immediately, given menus, plates and silverware. Mind you, this is the same server as well. The manager came out later to give us utensils but again we stated multiple times we are dining in (Outside of the restaurant/CoVid 19). Why is that all the caucasian customers were attended to promptly and properly but us, the only People of Color were treated as such. We spoke to our server and explained the situation and she denied everything. We left and advise any future customers to not come here. We didn't raise our voices, we didn't use profanity, we didn't demand a refund, we didn't record a video to post online, we didn't ask to speak to the manager. We just ask that you treat all people fairly and justly. (Also, we cleaned the table before we...
Read moreI had the most awful experience dealing with the owner of Spring Lake Pizza. I ordered my pizza online for a 5:30 pick up. Picked up pizza at 5:29, got home. Pizza was cold. So turned on my oven to 250 to heat up. While waiting, I decided to kindly call them to suggest that if someone orders a pizza for 5:30 pick upâŚdo not make it early. I was not asking for anything, only feeling that if I were the owner of the pizza shop, I would want to know this happened. The owner was immediately belligerent. His first response .. âthe only way to order pizza is 7 minutes before you want itâ. Iâm like ⌠ah, I needed to order online ahead of time because of commitments and your website is set up for that. He then said, âwell you must be having a bad dayâ. And Iâm like, no actually, Iâve had a great day. And then he said âthen donât tell me how to run my businessâ. What??? I just wanted my pizza hot. He never apologized. I wanted nothing from him except making sure he knew what happened as I would think he would want to correct it. He reiterated that I donât know anything about running a business so why I am telling him how to run his. What? I wanted my pizza hot. He kept throwing insults at me (literally) and I am so flustered I canât remember them all. I never write reviews. And I know itâs ONLY pizza. And the world has so many many problems. But in the spirit of the season of kindness, that this man, this small business owner in a sweet nice town, made me feel AWFULâŚ.. well, I think that is worthy of a review. And to the owner, if you were having a bad day, I am sorry. I hope you understand how your words affected...
Read moreHad it not been for the exemplary service we received upon entering the Pizzeria, the review would not be as favorable.
My girlfriend and I wanted to get some quick slices to eat before retiring for the evening. We arrived on a Thursday evening around 6pm. The place was empty.
We had hoped to simply go to the counter and order our slices. Instead, we were intercepted at the entrance by a really nice guy manning a register kiosk who took our order and had us sit down. While this level of service is somewhat appreciated it does come unexpectedly as we just wanted pizza slices and a table to sit at. It appeared that the normal procedure of doing that now became a waiter service where you had to leave an additional tip. But I suppose that's an argument for another day.
The pizza was not that good and I suppose it wasn't surprising. Their pies sit out on the counter for quite some time until someone orders a slice. It is then thrown in the oven to heat up and then served. It doesn't taste fresh at all. But, when it's a slow night that's the chance you take on pizza that has been sitting in the case.
Everyone was very friendly. The service was excellent. However, I'm not certain I am fond of the fact that you can no longer just go to the counter and order slices and then sit down with it. That now comes with waiter service and quite frankly, this place doesn't seem to have the ambience of a restaurant...
