Earl of Sandwich — Restaurant in Spring Valley

I'm going to write this review with the knowledge that most new businesses tend to have a few kinks in their initial stage of opening. Usually for the first one or two months. This Earl of Sandwich located on Rainbow and the 215 is no exception. Both the food and service need a little more work as this restaurant didn't thrill me with either.

The food was nothing more than fair according to my friend who had a tuna melt and is a big fan of Earl of Sandwich restaurants. And my cobb salad was, let's just say, less than perfect. The cashier didn't listen to the order carefully and wrapped our order to go when I clearly said it was for dine-in. As I stated above, I'm well aware that any new business must work out some initial issues, and I'm more than willing to give this Earl of Sandwich time to do so since it's the only one in the general area and normally I find most Earl of Sandwich stores to be the best fast food around.

And so I'll return here in another month or more and give this place another shot and hopefully, I'll be raising this review from an average 3-star to well above.

I absolutely love this place! Probably one of the best hot sandwich I've ever had. Their sandwich's are really ,really good and high quality tasting. The meat is really tender and flavorful and the bread is fresh and fluffy ( not like other fast food chains that serve tasteless processed food) . Their sandwich is definitely worth the money! My favorite is the “Italian” and my wife loves the “Chipotle chicken avocado”, everything is tasty on their menu whatever you order, you can not go wrong with your choice. They have a good variety of sandwiches and they come on a choice of white or wheat bread. The bread is toasted- which brings out the flavor of the sandwich. They also have a homemade cookies 🍪, yummy 😋! Service was excellent, especially from Ramon- the owners son and the general manager. He works really hard to please his customers. The staff is super friendly , welcoming and helpful. They treat their customers with care, respect and appreciation. Great customer service experience. I'm writing this message because I had a terrible experience with this location on rainbow...I order 4 sandwiches and a soup.... let me just say all my food was wrong .I went back in to tell the person at the counter my orders where wrong...he gave me so much attitude I ended up just asking for a refund.... with out getting into too much detail both the manager and the other employee tried to scam me...he acted he was found the refund and asked for my card .then the manager starts yelling for me to sign very urgently and pushy...I stop and look at the receipt and ask where does it say "REFUND AT" the employee without even looking says OH I messed up...do you know he charged me another 54.65 . I was in shock they tried to play me...he ask for my card again ..this time he prints a lot of reviews out after punching lots of stuff on his computer has me sign two receipts saying refund each for 54.65....I sign and leave...now I'm just patiently waiting for both refunds...
