Unless I have glaucoma or just sadly mistaken, I noticed that Marigold had the highest Google rating (4.9 stars) in all of Las Vegas-Summerlin-Henderson areas as of 14 Feb 2025. That being said, I just had to try this restaurant to see if this is a valid rating...and, just to try a new Indian restaurant in general. My wife and I decided to try this restaurant on Valentine's Day (V-Day) 2025 because I was in the mood for some Indian food, and not because it's V-Day [I don't celebrate this event (not an actual holiday); I celebrate our anniversary instead]. And don't get me started on how I feel about V-Day...but I digress.
When we walked in, I was immediately shocked to see how nice this restaurant was with their lighting and elegant décor. We were immediately seated which was a pleasant surprise because this restaurant doesn't take reservations (I called prior to visiting to ask). I don't know how many customers typically visit this business on a given day; however, when we were there, it was busy (I assumed because it was V-Day). The service was decent; all the employees were operating at a fast pace; both servers and cleaners. Our food arrived quickly; however, we did have to remind them about the Naan that we ordered.
Speaking of the food, we received the traditional Papadum after we sat down; we ordered the Kingfisher Beer and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon for our drinks; Vegetarian Appetizer Platter and Lamb Samosa for our appetizers; and Lamb Chili, Lamb Mint Curry, Butter Naan, and Spicy Chili Garlic Naan for our main entrées. This restaurant served the most Papadum of all the Indian restaurants I have experienced in this city...which was and is always appreciated because I always seem to arrive at Indian restaurants starving, like I didn't eat for days. All the food we ordered was very flavorful and had a nice texture to the ingredients, especially the lamb. I was slightly puzzled with the amount of food they served because it felt that the dishes were a little smaller than other restaurants I've been to. But don't quote me on that. It could also be the fact that I was starving, or perhaps because it's been a month or so since I've visited an Indian restaurant. Also, the Naan was good, but I felt it had a little too much butter on both of them and the Spicy Chili Garlic Naan wasn't as spicy as I hoped for.
With the exception of the Naan arriving late, the service was phenomenal - those young gentlemen walking around serving everyone and constantly checking up to see if we needed anything was indicative of what true customer service should be like everywhere else. The price-to quantity/quality ratio was adequate and I highly respect this business for their support to the men and women of the Armed Forces, including its Veterans - thank you for that!
This is probably one of the only places I've reviewed where I reduced the star rating of both the food and service categories by one notch, but still gave this restaurant a 5-star rating overall. Normally a reduction to both categories wouldn't equate to a 5-star rating according to most mathematicians and some staticians, unless we dive deep into decimals...but then again, it's really not that serious. So is this restaurant really deserving of the 4.9 stars given on Google? I feel that it has the potential of being a 4.9-star restaurant barring some of the flaws that I experienced from my recent visit and potential inconsistencies, based on future visits. Do I think this restaurant was still good and would highly recommend this to others? Absolutely! There's a good chance I'll return for another visit and will update my review, as...

Walking into Marigold Indian Restaurant in Las Vegas felt a bit like stepping into a transformed space—one that once housed a Mexican restaurant. The decor carries a modest charm, but it lacks the vibrant atmosphere you'd expect from an Indian eatery. Despite this, I must commend the cleanliness of the establishment; it’s clear that they take pride in maintaining a tidy environment.
Our dining experience began with some confusion over seating. We initially attempted to settle into a booth, but it didn't quite fit our needs, so we opted for a table instead.
As for the food, I found it to be quite average. I ordered the goat curry, which unfortunately was not tender and leaned towards the salty side. The gravy seemed a bit dated, lacking the fresh flavors that one would hope for in a dish like this. My dining companion tried the chicken tikka, which also fell flat, presenting nothing particularly memorable.
We also sampled a few appetizers, and while they were decent, they didn’t stand out in any meaningful way. One positive aspect was the pacing; they provided a nice interval between courses, allowing us to cleanse our palates, which is always a nice touch.
Overall, my experience at Marigold was just that—average. Given the numerous positive reviews and high ratings it has received, I expected more. Unfortunately, I found it to be a step behind other Indian restaurants in the area, like Clove, which I believe surpasses Marigold in both quality and flavor.
In conclusion, while Marigold might appeal to some, my experience left me wanting. If you're in search of exceptional Indian cuisine in Las Vegas, I would suggest exploring other options before...

Rating: 5/5 stars
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Marigold Fine Dining in Las Vegas, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that set the tone for a fantastic evening.
The real star of the show, however, was the food – oh, the glorious food! We started with the Vegetable Samosa, which was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Dum Aloo was another standout dish, with tender potatoes cooked to perfection in a rich, spicy sauce.
But the true pièce de résistance was the Shahi Paneer – creamy, indulgent, and utterly divine. The paneer was cooked to a silky smoothness, and the sauce was infused with just the right amount of spices and herbs. It was truly a masterclass in Indian cuisine.
We also ordered the Garlic Naan and Tandoori Roti, both of which were freshly baked to perfection. The naan was buttery and aromatic, while the roti was soft and slightly charred – exactly as it should be.
Throughout the meal, the service was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Our server took the time to explain each dish and made excellent recommendations.
In short, Marigold Fine Dining is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, high-quality Indian cuisine in Las Vegas. The prices may be slightly higher than average, but trust me, it's worth every penny. Don't miss out on this culinary gem!
