This place is absolutely terrible!! I am absolutely flabbergasted by all of the positive reviews. We are here from out of town and it was our first night here and we had no food and our condo yet. My daughter and I were starving and we ordered from here because of all the great reviews. Being room out of town we don't know where to go so we have to trust reviews online. I ordered chicken teriyaki bowl and the tempura bowl. The chicken teriyaki bowl is made with dark meat chicken which is very hard to dry out. Yet the chicken was dry and it came with absolutely no vegetables whatsoever not healthy and balanced at all and it tasted like fish. My family eats primarily a pescatarian diet so we are very familiar with fish and seafood and I have never tasted chicken dish that tasted like fish. It tasted more like fish than the fish that I eat on a regular basis! The tempura bowl was awful as well. The tempura was soggy and undercooked. I have never in my life had tempura that was soggy. I've made tempura at home and trust me it is very very hard to turn tempura into soggy fried food. The sweet potato was completely unedible because it wasn't cooked all the way through. And I think out of that whole bowl there were two very skinny shrimp in it outside of that it was just a few vegetables.
To make matters worse We asked for utensils and soy sauce just in case the dish wasn't good I knew that soy sauce might be able to make it better and they provided none of that. Again we're in a room that has no food no condiments nothing. And they left us without utensils and I specifically told them we were in a room that had nothing and that we needed the sauces and the chopsticks and napkins.
So for these two terrible meals that were also small portioned and less than the size of what you would get in a Japanese mall food court we paid $40.$40 for food that literally went in the trash. I'm just so disturbed by how much money I spent that I literally just threw away I should have just thrown my $40 straight into the trash can and we were so hungry and went to bed hungry and woke up hungry. I just cannot believe that anybody would rate this place as even remotely decent. Japanese restaurants and a food court are better than this.
Do not take your chances eating here if you're from out of town!! Maybe I just caught him on a really bad night but don't take your chances. Go...
Read moreWith many creative dishes for reasonable prices and generous portions, Oodle Noodle is a place worth visiting in Chinatown Las Vegas. Overall, their udon is extremely bouncy and chewy with their broth or sauces packing a powerful punch to your palette. Two portion sizes are offered for most dishes and I would only recommend to get a large if you are extremely hungry because the food is very heavy to the stomach.
The service was also great and the food came out pretty quick.
Uni Cream Udon (~$37 for large): This dish was by far the most flavorful and my favorite (1st picture). A traditional udon dish accompanied with a super creamy and rich uni cream that keeps drawing you back in for more bites. My only feedback would be to have larger pieces of uni for the plate as the two pieces that were given were quite small. Rating: 9.5 / 10
Mentai Cream Udon (~$18 for large): This dish was my second favorite and a bang for your buck (2nd picture). The udon was extremely bouncy and accompanied by a creamy but seafood-like taste due to the fish roe in the sauce. Definitely a stronger flavor profile (not as strong as the uni) but very fulfilling and tasty. Perfect dish in my opinion, no feedback needed. Rating: 10/10
Carbonara Udon: Udon dish accompanied with creamy carbonara sauce, big slices of bacon, grated Parmesan cheese and an egg yolk in the middle (3rd picture). Very fulfilling dish as well but one piece of feedback would be to add more flavoring to the carbonara because I personally thought it started to taste bland after a few bites. Rating: 7.5/10
Sukiyaki Udon: Traditional udon dish in a sweet broth, with green onions, beef and other veggies. They did not skimp on the meat portioning and the dish was served in a large black kettle with a large wooden ladle (which I thought was creative). Fantastic dish overall, no feedback needed. Rating: 10/10
Overall, because of their unique spin on udon dishes, affordable pricing and quick service, I would recommend this place to anyone visit Las Vegas. Rating: 9/10 but Google doesn’t let me...

We came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't busy. While I found the tap water, my husband said it tasted off. Service was unremarkable. The chair I sat on squeaked, feeling like it could break at any moment.
Unagi Handroll ($15) & Chutoro with Uni Handroll ($26): My husband got these handrolls, which were large, but that's where the positives end. He said they weren't fresh and were the worst handrolls he's had in Vegas. Definitely not worth the price.
Spicy Pork Tsukemen ($11.80): You can choose it hot or cold, and my husband opted for hot. Typically, tsukemen broth is thick, rich, and full of umami, but this one was the opposite. It tasted like a sweet soy broth--good, but nothing special. The pork belly lacked flavor and was borderline dry, so it needed to be dipped in the broth. Overall, the dish felt very basic.
Spicy Tan Tan Udon ($14.20): I love tan tan noodles and was excited to try the udon version, but it missed the mark. The presentation was beautiful, but the flavor was off. I didn't enjoy the taste, and the Japanese pepper (sansho) didn't pair well with the noodles. There are five spice levels, and I chose level 3 after reading a review that said level 2 was mild. Well, level 3 was so spicy it made my nose run!
Beef Sukiyaki Udon ($17.80): Our cousin ordered this, and it was the best item we tried. I'm not sure if it was genuinely good or just better compared to everything else, but the flavors were spot on, and the portion size seemed larger too.
Overall, we were sorely disappointed considering how highly rated this place is. Perhaps their strength lies in traditional udon, rather than creative...
