I am giving an honest assessment of this hotel based on last year’s stay and the most recent stay (3-7 April 2024) for anyone considering this hotel.||We stayed at this hotel and casino last year. There are some positive and negative reasons for my score. We personally will not be staying at this hotel next year. Hopefully, my comments can help you make your own informed decision.||For the price, it is arguably not a bad place to stay. But, in Vegas, room rates are only a piece of the equation. I'm at a point in my life where other factors drive my decision where to stay in order to have a complete satisfactory experience.||Arrival and check-in. |- I really like the large, covered arrival area. In case of inclement weather, it will accommodate many vehicles and keep you out of the weather. The check-in was less than desirable. Upon arrival, our limo driver tried to hail some to assist with our luggage but was unsuccessful. The group is not beyond handling our own luggage. However, with the extra luggage we had to bring, it would have been nice to have someone to assist or simply a luggage cart. There was only one attendant checking patrons in at the service desk. After a long flight (and, honestly, long day), the wait was frustrating. To add to the frustration, a "VIP" arrived and had to be serviced before everyone in line, further delaying the process. It happened a second time before everyone was checked in.|- Check-out was fairly painless process if you didn't have any questions. I was had a question upon checkout. The clerk couldn't answer the question and called for a supervisor. After waiting for a period of time, the supervisor never showed. Our ride to the airport arrived on time, and we left without having our question/discrepancy resolved.||Last year there was limited elevator service due to the construction. This year was no different. Actually, there was a period when only one elevator worked, causing huge delays. ||The rooms.|They are adequate. I had a King bed which was very comfortable. Immediately we had a problem with the new TV...It wasn't coming on. I called the front desk, and after some time, a maintenance worker arrived. After some time, he realized when they were recently installed, the HDMI cables were incorrectly installed. I don't understand why there wasn't a test done after installation. The shower pressure was less than desirable. There was very good lighting in the room. Adequate counter space in the bathroom and storage space for clothing. The closet was quite small to accommodate hanging clothes for two (4-night stay). There was not microwave in the rooms.||Outside the window was the construction area. The construction noise began at 6 am. It isn't a problem for me since I'm an early riser. However, for those who are not, especially when we had a late night, it was frustrating. But, I understand this is probably not a controllable situation for the hotel management.||Resturants: |- TGI Fridays Restaurant in the hotel is absolutely horrible. We ate there last year and were extremely disappointed. We vowed to never eat there again. Well, I suppose we forgot after a year and can only blame ourselves this year for trying it again. The service was bad, food took an excessive amount of time to arrive (especially with only 4 other tables seated). Do not recommend (1 of 10)|-Noodle Exchange Chinese Restaurant wasn't bad. We had the Fried Rice. It was good food. Recommend (rate 7 of 10).|-Bowling Snack Bar actually serves very good food. Was impressed on the quality of food produced from a small production area. Recommend (9 of 10)|- Subway was impressive. Kind of hard to mess up a sandwich, right? Well, the staff is the only one I've seen who did it right, sanitarily speaking. The sandwich was made to order, no surprises there. But, in addition to being friendly, the worker did everything correct. He took the order, took the money, and most importantly put on gloves AFTER taking money. Highly Recommend (10 of 10)||The bowling alley (reason we were there, again).|- The Bowling Alley was a pleasant surprise. Please don't judge the venue on appearance. Although it appears old and run down, the lanes were taken care of, worked properly, correctly oiled, and bowling area was clean. Probably outside of hotel staff realm, but the tournament was ran (in my honest opinion) flawlessly, just like last year. The flow of the games, schedules, and updates were above expectation. ||Gaming floor.|- There is a huge selection of slot machines. Although I do not play slots very much (table games are my choice), each time I will donate to the machines. I come with a large group who exclusively play slots. From their experiences, these machines do not pay out like other casinos. We ventured to nearby casinos and had much better luck on slot machines.|- Table Games are generally just OK. I prefer to play at other casinos, but since I stayed at this hotel, we spent more of our gaming time at their tables (which probably will not happen again, IF I ever stay here again). Each day of the 4 days that I played at the tables I personally experienced or saw an issue at the blackjack tables. I will be happy to discuss specifics but can tell you the majority of the time the problem was with the Floorperson. Only one of the dealers, the entire time, spoke English. For me, it is a better experience when you can have a conversation or communicate with the dealer. We actually walked across the street to another hotel and casino and had a MUCH better experience with the casino (We will most likely stay there next year)||Hope my assessment will...

I am a 71 year old woman from Utah my husband and I came to Las Vegas to spend the week and we had stayed at Palace station hotel which I must say I was extremely pleased with on the 9th my husband and I decided to go to Gold Coast I absolutely love TGI Fridays and unfortunately we don't have one in the city I live in. I had parked my car in the parking garage at the Gold Coast and my husband and I went into play the slot machines which I love to do and have dinner. After dinner we decided to walk over to the Rio because it was a beautiful night and I felt that my car would be safe in the parking garage because they're security at Gold Coast so I wasn't worried anything would happen to my car and no need to move it across the street since there's free parking at Gold Coast. Well after we played a little bit at the Rio we went back over to the Gold Coast to get our car and go back to Palace station and my car was gone I walked around the parking lot trying to find my vehicle my husband who is also in his 70s and has a heart condition and I have bad knees so needless to say it was very hard for both of us trying to find our vehicle and it wasn't there so we proceeded to contact the police cuz I assumed my car had been stolen they asked me if it had possibly been towed and I said of course not why would it be towed I was parked in a normal parking spot. So they gave me a website to go on to check and see if my vehicle was there to see if it had been impounded I checked it and my vehicle was not on the website so I went ahead and filed a report. Now leaving my husband and I stranded in Las Vegas with out of vehicle to get home we had to catch a shuttle back to Utah and leave Vegas without our vehicle every single day I had checked that website to see if my car had been impounded or found yet and everyday it said my vehicle was not there finally I decided to start calling different impound yards and not use the website and by just by chance I found my vehicle it had been towed by Quality Towing from Gold Coast on the 9th the night that my husband and I were actually at Gold Coast casino and the lady at the tow yard told me that it was towed because it was parked not within the lines I was in so much disbelief I could not believe what I was being told and that it was going to cost me almost $1,000 to get my vehicle out of impound because it had been there for so many days the reason that it wasn't showing up when it was searched is because the tow yard had entered in the plate information incorrectly. I know without question I did not park my vehicle illegally in any sort of way I didn't park in a handicap and if I was over the line slightly well I've never heard of any business especially a casino where we're spending our hard-earned money going ahead and having somebody's vehicle tow especially someone from out of state. And to add insult to injury the tow yard that the Gold Coast used to have my vehicle towed entered my plate information incorrectly causing my vehicle to be in there yard for a week and charging me $1000 for a mistake that they made. I feel that the Gold Coast and the Tow yard are in cahoots with each other what a easy way to scam people out of there money or even worse if they can't afford the 1000s of dollars to get there vehicle well lucky tow company they get to keep the vehicle. I would have had my vehicle back that night if my plate wasn't entered into the system wrong. This situation has caused us well over the 1000 that the tow yard is telling me I have to pay. My husband has called the tow yard Quality Towing 3 times since we found out our vehicle was towed asking to speak to the owner or manager and haven't heard a word from the owner and now we are being told he is out for the weekend. We are going to have to spend another 100 plus dollars going back to Vegas to get our vehicle plus what ever else they plan to charge us. This is the most crooked way to run a business I have ever seen in all my years. My husband and I are retired and live on a fixed income. We don't have 1000s of dollars that we can just hand over. needless to say Im sure that this crooked Quality Towing and Gold Coast Casino will not take accountability for the error on there part. I'll pay for the tow and even a day in there yard but how is it legal to charge me for a mistake that Quality Towing made making it impossible for me to...

They need to remember that this should be an affordable off strip option with however all the basics that keep you inside the resort as they used to have. I appreciate the fridge in the room but they removed coffee and tea making facilities in the room which they used to offer for free and that is terrible. The only option you now have is to walk down to the casino and have some mediocre at best coffee for $10 and that's not acceptable for a place in this category. They give free subways to poor locals that loiter around which is generous but you can't do it on the back of all the tourists you're ripping off and that's my feeling throughout. Subway prices are ridiculous and they are all the same no matter what you order which is absurd. So without a buffet that used to be affordable as well now you are left to cross the road and going to Palms to eat at their buffet which means you will eventually spend more time there then you would have. I think that could be a reason why there are fewer people at Gold Coast then there used to be. At the casino I never won anything anywhere and despite that getting anything for your gambling is a massive struggle unlike bigger resorts on the strip. And in any case you only get one coffee and a Subway (which only caters to meat eaters by the way it doesn't have any of the new options and the tuna melt is so heavy) but really you have to struggle to get it and then you have to keep asking you don't even get a full credit you have a one of credit and then you have to keep begging and they look down on you if you don't spend another $1,000 on you their machine.. what other better resorts do is at the end of your stay they waive a lot of things from your bill but here they have a different system and it's just not friendly nor convenient. I found that insulting for my gambling and I ended up gambling elsewhere for the rest of my stay. They cater too much for locals and absolutely nowhere near enough for anybody else and even then I see a lot of locals flicking to Palms . The rooms are fine but the internet is terrible they need to fix this as a matter of urgency. This puts off any foreign visitor because foreign visitors will not use the roaming data from their cell phone and they need excellent reliable Wi-Fi. The TV stations are abysmal I have never been in a place with such few TV stations it's quite insulting actually. All in all I don't know what their objective is but they need to keep in mind that you need to attract and keep guests and visitors from abroad who need wifi services to work flawlessly. Nowadays there are affordable options even on the strip and you need to compete and one thing is to offer free coffee in the room or some beverage credit to all your paying hotel guests. You don't have anything appealing for brunch, you lose people to Palms because the best time to gamble is after a nice meal in a buffet for some people. You have removed the shuttle to Orleans and that's a shame but nowadays Orleans doesn't have a buffet so what's the incentive to go over anyway. The one thing I appreciate is the late closure of the gym and the fact that you have a pool and Jacuzzi outside but it needs to stay open later than 7:00. This place used to be quite the go-to place for foreigners on a budget Canadians Europeans etc dignified people nice clean people and you need to treat them with the same respect enticing them to stay in your resort and not to leave and only sleep here which is what I'm forced to do because I am not paying $10 for a coffee that it's all foam if I wanted that experience I would go on the strip which is what I'm doing or across the road at Palms. Please give some food and beverage credit to your guests I have stayed here several days and I feel I'm not a valid guest which is a shame. Therefore what I ended up doing I ended up gambling elsewhere after my first night's disappointment at Gold Coast and I ended up going everywhere else but here which is a massive shame. Then with your abysmal internet you're almost forcing me to find...
