Mood - lunch
Today was my 6th day of working. Technically I was supposed to be off, so I was a little hangry to say the least. I knew I wanted to some authentic Filipino food. After seeing the photos I knew it was a must.
Upon entering was greeted with great customer service. Asked if I had any questions. My only question was could I sit down for a little bit while I was waiting for my friend to join me. I was obliged with my request. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw they had the Calamansi drink that I thoroughly enjoy. SO I had to get it.
After a little bit, I went up to the counter and placed my order. I opted for the Pork Adobo as they were out of Chicken, lumpia, and the meal came with white rice. That adobo was pretty on point. I was very pleased with it. I should have bought more to go.
Interior is several table and chair arrangements. It was very clean as the staff was cleaning continually between customers while I was there. Staff is wearing masks to ensure good Ol Covid Safety. The counter is very clean where all of the food is at. Music was playing in the background.
Would def recommend- pricing was reasonable. Staff was very courteous and hospitable. Be sure to check out their other items listed once you get to the cashier especially desserts and other drinks. I will surely come back to try...
Read moreThis place was recommended by Korean friends, so we tried it. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't the best as they said.
First of all, their dishes are absolutely OVERPRICED. We came and we we were seated immediately. We asked for hot tea, then started looking on their menu. I was appalled with the pricing and thought of leaving, but we decided to try it out. We thought maybe there's a reason for the pricing.
There's nothing special at this place. Maybe because I am not Korean and my pallette is not accustomed to their dishes, but both the soup we ordered lacked flavor.
I ordered the spicy beef & leek soup. The bowl was big, 70% of it was soup, 20% was leek, and 10% was shredded beef. For $19.95, I expected more meat in this dish.
My friend ordered an Ox Knee soup for $19.95. Although there was a lot more meat in this dish, it totally lacked flavor.
We also ordered the chive pancake for $12.95. This one didn't have any meat at all, and it tasted as a rice cake.
The side dishes were good, though. We paid $65 for this meal, including the tip. We felt it's a total waste of money. We could have gone to Mr. Tofu for much less, and we'll be...
Read moreSince I moved to Vegas 3 years ago, I have been looking for a good Filipino restaurant. I have been to maybe 7 places and only 3 other places has made it to my “definitely will go back to” list. Went to this place, all the food looked fresh. Visually appetizing. I got bistek, caldereta, bam-i, lechon kawali, lumpia, chorizo, and halohalo. We wanted to sample everything!! The lechon kawali was good, i just wished I got more bigger pieces instead of crumbles. 👍🏼 The bam-i had a good flavor. 👍🏼 The lumpia was good, but it was soggy by the time I got home. 👍🏼 The bistek had a good flavor, but I did not like the choice of meat. It was thick and tough. And lots of oil. The caldereta also had a very good flavor, but the meat was tough and the sauce was oily. We have not eaten the halohalo yet coz we’re so stuffed, so review for halohalo coming later. All in all, this can be my go-to place if I want a quick Filipino food. I want to see this place succeed, so I hope the owners will read this so they can make a couple of improvements. p.s. i forgot to write a review on the halo-halo. it definitely had a lot of ingredients. Too sweet for...
