Pink Gorilla Games — Local services in Spring Valley

Pink Gorilla was on my to go list for a while now and when I found out they opened up a location in Vegas I decided to take my son after school was out. So we drove all the way from Arizona. The store was super nice and clean as expected. Decent amount of games and everything was packaged nice and neat. The employees greeted us as soon as we entered. We brought a bin full of games, controllers and accessories to trade in. After maybe 5 minutes, the male employee told me he couldn't take any of my trade ins because they had every single game and weren't interested in the controllers. Ok no hard feelings and I wish that's all he said. But what turned me off is he said if we wanted to just get rid of them he could offer a nickel each and that they're just stuff that he would throw in the garbage anyways (can't make this up). I lived in Vegas before moving to Arizona so I wasn't surprised at the service because of Vegas but I was surprised because of the good reputation this game store has. No I didn't spend hundreds of dollars but I still bought a couple things including a Pink Gorilla plushy to make the long trip worth it. For what it's worth the two female employees were polite. I've always wanted to visit one of Pink Gorilla's locations after years of seeing it on MetalJesus' YouTube channel, after visiting the store today for my first time I will not be returning because of an employee named Cody I work in customer service myself and have never been treated so poorly. I was told I could leave my game console to be repaired and when I asked for an invoice or some kind of proof that they have possession of it somehow this came off as offensive and I was met with nasty body language from this man a nasty tone in his voice I was handed my console back to me and told to come back another day no specific date or time? I understand it's a busy store but with someone like that behind the counter you will lose customers with me being one of them. I will never recommend this store to anyone I come across you can find better prices and better service anywhere else. It's no ones fault but his own that he is pushing 50 years old and works in a game store making minimum wage. Pink Gorilla do yourself and everyone else a favor and let him go he's better suited working in the drive thru...

5/5 STARS – Big fan of the shop and owners already, but now with their Vegas location I finally got to check it out in person.

I traded in/sold a big chunk of my PS4 collection. I knew the value and roughly what percentage to expect, while also understanding they need to make profit. The offer was fair, and the process was super easy.

Outside of my transaction, the shop itself is fantastic: staff are super kind, the store is clean and well-organized, prices are very competitive, and they even have a respectable selection of imports for various consoles. Shout out again to the team – they were seriously awesome, and it was fun talking through some of the games I brought in.
