Roberto's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Spring Valley

Roberto's use to be the bomb, now it's the outer shell of what it use to be. Service has always been hot or miss but the food was the star. If you like rolled tacos, get the chicken. The beef are half stuffed while the chicken are 3/4 full. The Carne Asada burrito is the most consistent item on their menu. I used to love their chorizo burrito. You needed five paper towels to eat it. Now you can eat it with a white dress shirt on without any problem or paper towels. THAT IS NOT A GOOD THING! SINCE COVID THEY SUCK. PRICES ARE NO VALUE AND The food is no longer great. Sometimes good, mostly barely passable. I don't go there like I used to. I'm hoping with the high prices they can get beck to what they used to be. The sauces are fantastic though. During COVID they took a hit. But their Bold beautiful and back the way they were. Been coming here for years and always order the same thing. Tonight I came and did my usual order...when I looked at my receipt she had charged me for a carne asada burrito and not canritas burrito. I've never ordered a carne asada burrito...never! I told her that wasn't what I ordered. She said it was. I explained I've never ordered an asada burrito. She starts calling for the employees to come over and confirm that I ordered an asada burrito..like really? Screaming from the window to the cooks to confirm my order. I had no other option but to just pay for another burrito and take home a carne asada burrito that no one wanted. I remained calm because im not gonna argue with a pathetic lady who is clearly old enough to be my mother. First time I've encountered such a horrible service. Her name is...

Unbelievable..... ANOTHER horrible experience at roberto's. I don't speak Spanish so right away there is a communication issue. The person taking the order said that she understood I DO NOT want bell peppers, I would prefer jalapenos. After all of the Spanish speaking customers who ordered AFTER me had gotten their food, and I had to ask AGAIN if they were making mine, I FINALLY got my burrito.... you guessed it... with bell peppers and no jalapenos. When I inquired at the window, I was told "we don't have jalepenos, only the ones on the fixings table"....... REALLY? why don't you say that when someone request jalepenos rather than saying "ok" and then giving them what they can't eat..... UNBELIEVABLE.
