My husband just picked up a pizza and brought it home with the hopes it would be hot when it got here (which it often isn’t when we get it delivered). Even though it was hot, the dough was all but raw. When I called this location, I heard the person who answered say to someone in the background (presumably a manager), “This lady is pretty upset about her pizza and would like us to deliver her another pizza...do you want to speak to her?” Apparently, the manger couldn’t be bothered. Instead, the same young man said to me, “M’am, we’ll make you a new pizza but could you bring yours back to the store?” I told him that they can have their undercooked pizza back as I certainly wasn’t going to eat it, but that I wouldn’t be making another trip back to their store - since the mistake was theirs, I would like them to deliver me another pizza. I explained that as it was, it was a 40 minute round trip when my husband went the first time. I was placed on a brief hold, then the young man told me they would deliver the pizza to me, but would need to charge me a $3.25 delivery fee. I objected to this, at which time the guy informed me he is only the delivery driver. I asked to speak to the manager, who reiterated that he needs to charge me the delivery fee, adding that he’d “get in trouble” if he didn’t charge me the delivery fee. I confirmed with him that he was a manager and he assured me he was. I told him either he would address the fee situation with the owner, or I would. I stated the obvious: I shouldn’t be charged anything additional for THEM to correct THEIR mistake. He finally agreed to bring me a new pizza at no additional charge. I think it’s the least they can do considering he informed me it would take them 45 minutes to get the corrected pizza to me. This place is a joke! Won’t be back. Read moreFor my daughter’s birthday party, we placed an order several days in advance for 20 pizzas, scheduled for delivery at 5:15 PM on 3/21. We even called the day before to reconfirm, and both times we were assured that everything was set.
However, on the day of the event, at approximately 4:00 PM, we received a call from the store stating that our order had been prepared early due to a system error. While we understand that mistakes can happen, we informed them that we could not accept the pizzas at that time, as we had not yet arrived at the venue. The delivery driver was understanding and agreed that the pizzas would need to be remade for the scheduled time.
Shortly after, the store manager called and insisted that the pizzas had to be delivered immediately due to a lack of storage space. When we explained that this was not an option and requested fresh pizzas at the scheduled time, the manager refused. When we asked to speak with someone higher up to resolve the issue, the manager responded unprofessionally—LAUGHING and stating that they could not provide their supervisor’s information. We were never once offered any alternative or help in this situation, only made to feel this was our fault and our problem now. The exact opposite of what anyone should be dealing with an hour before their child's birthday party. The way the manager spoke to us and was unwilling to make things right was absolutely horrible and unacceptable.

Read morePLEASE READ!! AMAZING STAFF!!! I am a mom of 3 and today was my youngest 6th birthday party. My husband ordered the food for me seeing I’m doing the party alone this year as he’s on assignment in California right now. He had accidentally scheduled the delivery date for the following day, and only realizing 45 minutes after the time I believed it to be arriving did we discover that it was scheduled for Monday rather than Sunday. Panic set in, as everything else that could have gone wrong prior to the party in fact had already gone wrong. Once talked off a ledge, I called Papa John’s and explained the situation and the woman on the other end of the phone was so understanding, sympathetic, and attentive to the time sensitivity of the situation. (Being on a scheduled time slot for the party location)…. I had all the pizza delivered to the party with in 15-20 minutes of my call! THANK YOU! from the bottom of a overwhelmed and stressed out moms heart! Seriously thank you! A+ customer service!!! In a world of negativity and expectation of being met with poor manners.
