I came to Dave and Busters on Valentine’s Day and the following Saturday with my long-distance boyfriend. I flew in from California.
There was plenty of parking on both days, but if one parking lot filled, we easily parked in the parking lot next over. It only added an extra minute or two from vehicle to building.
On Valentine’s, we had a reservation and got dinner. I had an garlic buttered Alaskan Salmon over rice with green beans and my boyfriend had the Buster burger. Our waiter was super tentative, gave us drink suggestions and was very kind. I did get two alcoholic drinks which were quick to come out. The restaurant seating area was extremely clean, quiet, but had an extremely relaxing vibe. The bathrooms were also very clean, and plenty of stalls.
Once we finished our meal, we headed to the floor. Nearly all of their games were running, aside from maybe two or three. But we had a blast! We stayed from 7pm until closing. I also had a Dave and Buster’s play card on the app but had forgotten the physical card in California. The lady at the front register was able to transfer the credits and tickets into a new physical card for free. I did end up buying more drinks, but the bar was a little busy.
On the Saturday following Valentine’s, we returned around the same time. This time with no dinner plans and straight into the games. It was insanity for the first two hours, haha! There was so many families and children running around. The bar this time was faster, and each bartender was very kind. Each bartender checked IDs, which I really appreciate, haha. But same thing, almost all of the games were running aside from two to four. But we had a lot of fun playing all the selection together. We played the Halo Fireteam Raven game twice from start to finish, haha.
On the second run through of the game some hours later, my boyfriend’s card was about to run out of credits. But I had bought him his own physical card on Valentine’s and it was automatically linked to my account on the Dave and Buster’s app. When there was some quick downtime on the Halo game, I pulled out my smartphone, loaded the D&B app up. Selected his card, put in the amount of credits I wanted and paid with Apple Pay. The points instantly transferred and we didn’t have to leave our seats to go get some more credits from an attendant or credit machine. It was super quick!
Overall, the place is an amazing. It’s the same just like back at home in California, but instead of the sports teams being like my San Francisco 49ers, they had images of the local teams here like Ohio State, and the Cincinnati Bengals for example.
We also left at closing on Saturday with a quick run to the prize area. My boyfriend got a locked item in which we didn’t have to wait for too long to get. We left right after they knocked the power out for all the arcade games.
Overall, very clean, awesome and quick food. Bar can be quick, too. Clean and plenty of bathrooms. Staff is incredibly kind, asking me if I was enjoying Ohio. And nearly all the arcade games worked. It can get crowded, and it wasn’t too crazy loud but I really enjoyed my experiences here with my boyfriend. (: If I was to return back to Cincinnati, I would immediately come back in a heart beat. Oh, and it’s super cold outside, the heating is very adequate.
Thank you, Cincinnati Dave and Buster’s crew!! ♥️
OH, cost wise, on the two days, we spent close to 350 bucks. Worth it! And they do accept...
Read more★★★★★ Service ★★★★☆ Ambiance ★★★☆☆ Value ★★★★★ Game selection ★★★★☆ Location/Accessibility ★★★★★ Overall experience On a lazy Saturday in September 2022, I invited my coworker and direct supervisor, AA, to join me at a popular arcade bar in town, Dave & Buster's. Despite AA's chronic tardiness, he agreed to come along. Upon arrival, we witnessed a man running away from the arcade towards the road as police officers chased after him. It was later discovered that he had been attempting to look up the skirts of some high school girls, which was a disturbing incident. However, we continued into the arcade, purchasing playcards with $100 worth of playtime each. The counter was crowded, so we had to wait for a while before heading to the arcade section, located at the back of the building. As we passed by the dining and bar area, we noticed it was relatively quiet, but the arcade was bustling with activity and people of all ages. The sounds of the arcade machines in standby were thrilling, but the sounds of people chatting were a bit overwhelming. In the center of the arcade, there was a large bar that served food and drinks and broadcasted sports, primarily MMA. AA led me to the "mobile game" section, where classic iOS and Android games were installed on arcade machines and projected onto large screens. We began with the timeless classic Pacman and then moved on to other games such as Chicken Crossing, Doodle Jump, and Coin Push. Coin Push was particularly addicting, and we earned currency from playing games, which we could use to purchase souvenirs in the gift shop. We then tried our luck with Wheel of Fortune, which was a bit generic but still enjoyable. Piano Tiles was another game that captured our attention, as it required lightning-fast reactions. AA was particularly into this game, as it had a leaderboard, and his competitive nature shone through as we played multiple rounds. We also attempted a game in which we had to throw rings on cone-shaped objects, but we eventually deemed our strategy to be cheating and abandoned the game. Next up was a Mario-themed Olympic game that required some physical exertion, which we both appreciated for its creativity. Another notable game was the hunting game, in which we had to aim and shoot at deer, only targeting those with antlers. This required precision aiming, but I quickly discovered that spraying was a more effective strategy. Finally, we played the crane game, in which we attempted to use a claw to pick up rolls of credits. The rolls were designed to be increasingly difficult to grab as their value increased, and this proved to be a time-consuming but addicting game that I was a sucker for. After we had our fill of gaming, we visited the gift shop, which left us a bit disappointed with its selection of cheap and poorly made souvenirs. There were various shelves filled with all sorts of toys and items, and people stood around observing and selecting their rewards. In the end, I chose a purple stuffed bear, which I felt was the best and most useful item in the shop. Overall, our experience at Dave & Buster's was an entertaining and memorable one. While the noise level in the arcade could be overwhelming at times, the variety of games and the overall atmosphere more than made up for it. The games were enjoyable, addicting, and brought back a sense of nostalgia for...
Read moreTl;Dr - multiple employees were rude and unprofessional, food and drink was concerning to eat bordering on inedible. Not worth time or money. My partner and I went to this location late, at around 10:45p-11p Friday (04/25). We started off excited to have a chill time, eat some food and play some games. This isn't.what happened. We went in and talked to the people once we got in at the front table. The man at the front told us the front of place wasn't closed and we'd have to go into the game room and that the kitchen was open. I asked where the bathrooms were and he was very dismissive and told us to go to the game room again. It was rude how he explained it and I think he saw my reaction to that wasn't favorable so he explained where they were (past the bikes to the left). I was willing to overlook that because I understood it was late and they were packing up to leave (actually just standing there) and we must have been a bit of an inconvenience. So we walked to the game room used the restrooms and stood near the hoststand, that had 2-3 signs saying wait for a host. We stood there for a few minutes and didn't see a host. There was a woman near a kiosk who kept making eye contact with us talking to people and putting what I assume to be orders in. So after waiting a bit we went to the bar. The bartender turned to us and asked what we wanted so we asked about food. She looked exasperated, assumedly not at us, and told us to wait at the host stand so we did. That's when the woman who had made eye contact came over and took us to a table. She got us drinks. I ordered a watermelon redbull lemonade, I asked for an additional shot of rum. The woman asked if I wanted it separate or mixed in the drink. I was surprised but excited I could get this lemonade with a shot. My partner got an Arnold Palmer. When we got our drinks mine was an actual cocktail, but what I expected or asked for. My partner got what he asked for but it had foam that accumulated that just never cleared up... It was unsettling. We ordered an appetizer which was fine, and then waited about 30 minutes for the woman to come back to take out food order. We saw her walking around and talking to one specific larger party multiple times. Not to mention our table/booth was right behind the POS Kiosk. Eventually we put our food order in. My food was fine, loved the coleslaw. However my partner not the fish and chips, and the fish smelled so strongly of fish it was nauseating. It was abnormal. He at one point took a bite and it tasted so strongly fishy that he had to stop eating. Not being hyperbolic, it was the kind of fishy smell that makes you think the fish is old/spoiled. After another long period of not seeing the lady my partner had to wave her down so we could get the check. By the time we paid for the food it was almost 12a and the place closed at 1a. We were a bit annoyed. Additional stuff worth noting- There was an employee sitting in one of those booth games with the tilted seats on his phone eating. A member of kitchen staff who was bringing out food came out at one point to the POS Kiosk and in her apron she had a speaker that was playing music so loud you can hear it over the location's music which was loud in its own right. Overall it sucked to end my Friday there...
