I’ve been here about 3 times and I don’t have any big complaints, the food is fine! Our waiter was actually really kind, patient, and attentive to us. He seemed like a good worker. We didn’t catch his name but he is the one with dreadlocks and a cool Fanny pack. I hope he is recognized for his patience and attentiveness to our large party! On the other hand, I’m still put-off by the sharpie graffiti all over the walls, I think it was not a good idea, it just doesn’t make the place look clean and tidy , and it is. This just makes it look... not professional in any sense. Another very unsettling and unprofessional thing I noticed were two signs written in orange highlighter on copy paper by the machine the employees use to check out the tabs/bills. I should have gotten a picture of it. It said “there seems to be some confusion” and “do not bring a chair here and sit down. Do not sit down. I dare you to sit down. Clock out. Go home. Find a job.” Excuse me, but whoever wrote this extremely passive aggressive note truly needs to take a class on professionalism. I was really put-off by that note and felt that the employees needed more respect as well. As a patron, I felt that this restaurant was not a warm and welcoming place. It needs to be brought to the managers attention and I should have said something while I was there. I will still try to call and let them know sometime soon. I truly hope that is addressed and fixed soon. There are better and more effective ways of communicating with your employees - I promise! :) a helpful tip is to try your best not to leave any passive aggressive notes. Instead call for a group meeting and address it with everyone in person, or individually. Another helpful tip would be to try and paint over the graffiti if possible. The wood was so pristine and give the restaurant a great vibe, so hoping that wood could perhaps just be restored all together. Another positive is the environment is really suitable for a seafood restaurant that is different than other dining experiences, for that I liked it. Also it truly is a clean facility and I appreciated that masks were enforced as well as social distances,...
Read moreI am usually a faithful customer here at Cincy Crab, but unfortunately today they have lost my business for good. I normally order the seafood bag boil and split it with my co workers and we each usually get our sauce on the side because we like different sauces. Well today i ordered just that and i get there to pick up my food and realize that we only had one sauce in the bag when we ordered two and the receipt clearly showed that i ordered two sauces. the manager comes up and i state to him what happened and he looks over my receipt and says you did not order two. i then said but my receipt shows it and he says yes but you didnt pay for it. so i then asked the person who took my order over the phone "Didnt i ask for two sauces on the side?" and he replied yes in front of his manager. Then manager looked at me shrugged his shoulders and said im sorry but you get what you pay for. so i asked im not going to get the sauce that i requested on my order and he said no because its not paid for even though it was. i paid 42 dollars for the entire order. i then proceeded to ask for a refund for the second sauce he would not give me and he ripped my receipt up in front of me and said " here's your refund". very unprofessional in front of customers and workers. so i then brought the bag of food back in and asked for my full refund and i stated to him that he was not acting like a good manager and he said "really? well I'm glad i don't work for you" as he refunded my cash. He was blatantly rude and i will say that before i thought he was a really good manager until i experienced this type of service today and i will NOT be returning back to this business. I felt like he was trying to embarrass and humiliate me all because i wanted what i ordered...
Read moreThe bottom paragraph was my previous review but now I’m unfortunately updating my review because of a situation that happened with us tonight. So we arrived there (Me, my husband and our one year old baby) the lady greeted us and we told her we were expecting 3 more adults, she was like: “so 6 people” when I replied: “5 adults and a baby” she repeated again and again “Yeah 6 people”. I didn’t understand why she needed me to confirm that 5 adults and 1 baby were 6 people, but when we got the check they automatically added 18% tip which was $40 on our bill because we are a party of 6 (this is what they do for a party of 6 or more). My husband told them that our baby didn’t even eat o get any service in the restaurant! She is one year old!!!! The owner or manager replied that our baby is considered a person so we’re 6 people hahahaha! COMPLETE Rip-off! Paying $40 for service just because we brought our baby with us! So sad now they lost a loyal customer.
Seafood boil is actually my favorite thing to eat and I had a lot of seafood boils in my life! This branch of Cincy Crab has great seafood boil. We ordered headless shrimps, lobster tail, and crab legs (along with the corn and potatoes of course) and let me tell you it was good! We actually had it three times last week. My go to is always medium heat cajun sauce. Always great service, clean restaurant, easy...
