kalaveras AR — Restaurant in Springdale

We came to Kalaveras for a fun night out, but unfortunately left feeling singled out and disrespected.

We tried to order another round of drinks but were told it was "cut-off time." While we understand and respect responsible alcohol service, it was confusing—and frankly unfair—to see other tables continue getting drinks after we were told no. When we asked about it, our server said that if we had "arrived earlier and been drinking longer," she would have kept serving us. That explanation made no sense. Responsible service should apply to everyone consistently, regardless of when they showed up.

What made the situation worse is that the server told us the owner—who was behind the bar—was enforcing this rule. Then, the owner turned around and told the other customers that we had "complained" about not being served more alcohol. This caused them to start giving us confrontational looks, which made us feel uncomfortable and targeted for no reason.

We came to Kalaveras to celebrate and have a good time, not to be treated unfairly or have our private conversation broadcast to other guests. This experience felt biased and poorly handled, and sadly, we won’t be...

I love the atmosphere! The music was family-friendly and upbeat. While it was a cantina, during the day it’s still a great place to take the kids. I didn’t see booster seats sadly. This is by far the most aesthetically appealing Mexican restaurant I’ve been to.

The salsa and chips were perfecto! 😍

⭐️ Detail-oriented! It is very easy to see that management/owners care about the quality of service provided and comfort of guests. I loved vibes and was surprised that even the CEILINGS were soooo cute. I loved it! 🥰

🧂 My only recommendation is to go a little lighter on the salt. Rice was so salty my daughter refused to eat and I didn’t have time to let the server know. High blood pressure due to excessive salt intake is real.

We come here every week. Usually the food and drinks are very good and we receive good service. Tonight we made a reservation for my daughter’s birthday. We had a large group and spent a lot of money. The majority of the orders came out wrong. Nobody apologized but ignored us after this as they seemed upset to have to fix their mistake. And after all of that they did not even wish my daughter a happy birthday, they did not do the usual birthday tradition I have even had here myself where they come out and sing, being the sombrero and give the complimentary piece of cake. They did nothing. They did not clear any of our dishes so I had no room to carve the cake I brought in myself thank goodness. They didn’t check on us. I am saddened that they didn’t give her the experience that she should’ve had and I had bragged on them for. It ruined her night.
