I arrived for a late lunch, but for a 24 hour restaurant, 2pm is the same as 2 am, just fewer drinks at 2pm. It wasn't crowded, as I actually made the 4th customer in the joint, three being at one table. I sat at the bar without being greeted. Finally the only waitress came over to me and took my drink order. She brought me my tea, then walked away. I needed a straw. She stood talking to two people from the previous shift. Finally, the COOK gave me a straw when I simply asked out loud for a straw. The waitress apologized about the straw bc she can't drink through a straw bc she spills her drink all over when she uses one. (how in the heck is this possible?? Has she tried bendy straws?!). The waitress returns for my order, sausage, eggs scrambled with cheese, hashbrowns instead of grits, with cheese, toast, and a waffle. Waitress calls the order. Cook ran out of something and had to get it. Then he found something else he didn't have stocked, so he got that too. Poor stocking from the prior shift. Cook gets my sausage, eggs, and hashbrowns and it is brought to me. No toast. No waffle. Waitress forgot to call the waffle. So, they make my waffle. Where is my toast you ask? Ah, here it comes, the cook has it. Piping hot, melted butter, and delicious. Until it slid off the plate as it was presented to me. It happened in slow motion and landed on the counter. Accidents happen, I get it. I worked fast food for 11 years and have dropped more than my fair share of food, but I never once asked the customer "You gonna still want that or do you want me to make more?" Seriously. I was already full from the sausage and eggs, so I told him it was fine, just get me a box. Waitress wasn't seen again after she dropped off my check. Probably just as well because she would've seen her lack of tip as I paid. I'll probably eat here again. This was just an exceptionally bad experience. When/if I go again, I'll...
Read moreI used to work for Waffle House and love coming here for some quick easy food and amazing customer service. Today that all changed as this was my worst Waffle House experience yet. Our server didn’t greet us. She had a sour look on her face the whole time. When asked if we were ready to order we politely expressed that we needed a few more minutes. She started to walk away when I said “but could I get a coke please” only then did she take our drink order. I asked for fried eggs and got scrambled eggs TWICE. They also put bacon on my girlfriends sandwich after she requested sausage instead. Our server also argued with me saying the eggs were cooked correctly the first time. I used to work at Waffle House, I know what fried eggs look like. Our server and cook then proceed to give us dirty looks the rest of the time we were there because we simply asked for the...
Read moreBe Well aware that the customer service is not consistent across the board. Just yesterday I went there and purchased the exact same order and the employees were nice. Today I go and order the exact same thing and first of all I walk in and they didn't even speak nor did the girl that took my to- go order say anything until it was time to say how much the order was which the amount was 4 whole dollars different than yesterday and I purchased the exact same thing and I told her that and she slaps the ticket in my face and says, look for yourself...so I go ahead and pay for it...get home and the order wasn't even right, she forgot three things that she Charged me for,so I had to go ALL the way back and get my money back and they didn't even apologize for my inconvenience or anything. SMH. Just be careful when you go to that one on Thompson never know who you're...
