I recently had a disappointing experience at Starbucks that I feel compelled to share. The incident involved an interaction with one of their male baristas at the location I visited, and it left a sour taste in my mouth, quite literally.
My usual gripe with Starbucks is their premade recipes, which often tend to be overly sweet for my taste. On this particular visit, I decided to create a custom drink: a concoction of 4 shots of espresso, milk, sweet foam, and ice. After receiving my drink, I politely asked the barista if he could add a touch more milk to it. What ensued was far from the pleasant Starbucks experience I'm accustomed to.
Rather than assisting a customer and ensuring a happy experience, this barista responded bluntly with a resounding "no." He suggested that I should have ordered a latte if I wanted more milk, stating that it's the only way to achieve that. I clarified that I didn't desire a full latte, just a slight addition of milk to balance the bitterness of the quad shot. However, he insisted that this was the only milk-to-espresso ratio possible for a triple shot.
What truly dismayed me was the fact that this exchange took place in front of other customers, making me feel as though my decision to order a custom drink was somehow wrong. To make matters worse, the price difference for the additional milk was negligible, which left me puzzled as to why this barista was so unwilling to accommodate my simple request.
In summary, this experience has left me thoroughly disappointed with this Starbucks branch and has certainly put a damper on my day. While I've always enjoyed Starbucks for its variety and customer-friendly atmosphere, this encounter was far from what I expected. It's disheartening when a simple request for a minor adjustment to my drink leads to such a negative interaction. I hope this feedback serves as a reminder to Starbucks and its employees to prioritize customer satisfaction and a welcoming atmosphere, even when customers choose to customize...

Read moreI usually come here before work with no issues. I’ve worked at Starbucks for 4 years and have no issues receiving or making a matcha tea latte with no ice before. I mobile ordered and when I picked it up, it wasn’t full and half of it was just foam and not drink. When I asked for it to be remade, I was told they cannot make it any differently even when I tried to offer suggestions for how I would make it when I worked at SBUX. I was disappointed I couldn’t order a drink I liked anymore and asked for a refund. That’s when a very nice and kind barista, Cara, said she could make it the way I like and I really appreciate her for that. She did a wonderful job and it’s made really well, I’m just disappointed that 2 other baristas did not want to help. Overall will keep coming here, I just sadly won’t order this...
