I'm not sure how you have a 4☆ rating at this location.
My husband convinced me to give your location another try after a very poor (uncooked chicken and missing items) visit I had years ago. I wanted to drive to West Chester for their more consistent 4+ star service and food.
Anyway we came here for dinner tonight. The employees behind the counter seemed like it was a bother to serve us. They didn't read the order well or seem to care about their jobs and the taste and quality of the food reflected that. They had to remake an order because they didn't see it had been ordered 'sauce on the side'. The Mac & Cheese looked like it was at least a day old, noodles all broken apart and cheese sauce was clumpy. The cole slaw was soft and mushy, like it also was day old. My son noticed there was a big black "x" under the cup, maybe it had been marked for waste and sold out by accident? Idk, we stopped eating it though. The garlic parm powder was barely sprinkled on the top of the chicken, not enough to spread it around by shaking either. I gave 2 stars for service because the crispy dippers were old and the guy offered to make some fresh if we didn't mind waiting around. They were still dry but at least they weren't dried out from being old. Also, they're called dippers but they give you a packet of sauce and no way to dip it.... The fries were by far the best part.
It was eerily quiet as there was no music in the dining room, this led to being able to hear everything in the whole building. The most annoying of which was the incessant beeping of the timers which apparently go widely ignored by everyone working.
When I received my Mango sweet tea I asked if it was refillable and I was told yes by the woman who prepared our food. I got one refill as we were eating from the male employee and went to get another before we left from the manager who was now the only person working the front. She informed me that it wasn't refillable but she'd do it this time. And lectured me on how it was a premium beverage with an upcharge and that's why. I let her know it wasn't an upcharge drink on the app or when we bought our meal from the register but she just kept telling me I was wrong and that the woman was a new employee and didn't know. As she was "letting" me have this refill I just let it go, accepted the refill and left for the night. The owner may want to either teach the manager what is a premium drink and what isn't or fix your app and the register to add the upcharge she was convinced was already being charges.
We'll be driving the extra distance to West Chester in the future.

Read moreUpdated 6/25/2023 Went there for dinner last night after having downloaded and placed my order on the app. When I went in, I was told that the dining area was closed because they were short staffed. The girl who told me was named Gina. She was not very pleasant. She told me I could have the order to go. I told her that it was not necessary that I would rather have a refund. She told me I would have to go through the app. I asked for the manager (Larry). While talking to him, Gina kept interrupting and made it almost impossible to have a conversation. Larry made the situation right. He is very professional. He allowed us to eat in the dining room. While we were eating, Gina got into an argument with the manager loud enough for us to hear it. It's a shame they are so short staffed because her attitude is not one I would want reflecting my business.
After we ate, I brought all our trash up to the counter so we could dispose of it there and not dirty the empty trash bags in the dining area that had been unused. Gina just looked at me and never acknowledged I was there. Larry told me that he would take care of the trash. I thanked him for being a pro and shook his hand. He is a good representation of the Popeyes brand. Gina needs to be retrained. The food was very good. They were out of a few things. It was understandable given that there were only 3 people working. They substituted other items, and that was fine. Overall, it was a decent experience because the manager handled the situation well. I'm sure it was a hard night and that he had to put out multiple fires. Gina should have been a team player and not made his staffing issues more difficult by being rude and challenging his decisions.
Quick inside service the place was clean and the workers friendly. The mild chicken was good. I enjoy the red beans and rice. The KFC further down the street is an absolute nightmare. They are the best advertisement for...
Read moreUPDATE: This location goes through staff changes often. A few months ago they had many African workers. Today they had nearly all Hispanic workers. The food was good today though but the constant Spanish being spoken is annoying and uneasy. I hate it because you don't know if/what they are saying about you.
This place just opened on 12/30/19 and I stopped in today (1/9/20). To start there aren't a lot of seats and most are grouped close. But that is common for Popeyes and other restaurants. The food was hot but seemed like it was hastily defrosted do to the water content in my tenders and chicken sandwich. But my rating is due to the service. Most of the employees are High School age Blacks. The dark skin register girl who was mildly unpleasant, a chocolate skin girl who was on break and taking up a whole table for herself, and a cook who left to go on break (apparently no one was there to cover his spot according to the chocolate skin girl). The 40 something Black male manager didn't seem fit for his position. A table across from me had a leaky cup sitting on it. AND RESTROOMS FIT ONE PERSON AT A TIME, A short mixed girl, a light skin Muslim girl, and a young Black boy seemed reasonably pleasant and respectable. But I did not see anyone wearing gloves at all! People working registers shouldn't handle the food and everyone working with the food should have gloves! This place is new so it should get better with time. I can see why the negative employees were probably unemployed...
