I've been here many times, and treated well. But the other night I was there on a first date. While our waitress, and I apologize I cannot remember her name, promised to give us a spectacular service, I don't think she knew that I judge my tip off the actual performance. She gave us the absolute best service I have ever had. Despite the fact they were about to close, and that she had probably had been there for a full shift already and things to do etc, she made sure our drinks were full before they emptied, she made sure we were happy with everything, she made sure that our food portions were acceptable, she did it all with a smile. She was absolutely amazing and I don't necessarily give off the appearance of wealth or claim to be, so there's no way she could have known that her performance was going to directly affect her tip. I just appreciate the service she gave us and think that servers like her are what make a restaurant great. I tipped her well, and she came back to ensure that I didn't make a mistake with my cash, and accidentally give her too much. I assured her i knew what I gave her and thanked her for the most amazing service I had ever gotten. I've been to no star restaurants and 5 star, her service was better than the 5 star I've had... I wish I could remember her name... Night...
Read moreI have been to several red lobsters in the past and to this one on more than one occasion and never had a bad experience. However, this experience has made me think twice about coming to red lobster again for quite some time. First, we were told that for our party of 2 it would be a 45 minute wait. While we were waiting our friend came in too. They had called one hour prior and when they came in, the hostess said that calling may have hurt them in the long run- whatever that means. We had witnessed several other 2 - 3 parties come in after us and they were audibly told 10-15 minutes and were seated before us. By the time we were seated it was well over an hour later.... We were seated and waited. And waited. And waited. Nearly 20 minutes. At the table. By this time the waitress was walking past is to deliver things to tables and would say as passing by, "I bet you are hungry. I bet you'd like a drink". Ok we were perturbed. Our order came wrong and later than the tables around us who were seated after us and they had different waitresses. Yes, our waitress was friendly aside from the sarcastic comments that we could have done without. It'll be a while until we come back...
Read moreUsed to be really amazing. Now just mediocre. The staff is fantastic. Clean and nicely laid out. The booths are horrible crammed they have packed the booths in and by doing so have made tge distance from the table to the back of the seat extremely tight. This is a crap move by restaurants to make more space to put more tables in. That's great if you a tiny person but terrible if you are not. The shrimp scampi was terribly overcooked. The Lobster with noodles asparagus was just ok way too many noodles. The appetizer of stuffed mushrooms with lobster was terrible. Tasted like they used 5 times the regular amount of garlic. The coconut shrimp was fantastic and their new spicy breade shrimp was very good. But they cut out giving you a Ceasar or side salad and now you have to pay for it. While this is supposed to be a up scale restaurant, the food for the value is just not their anymore. It's a shame a once great place is slipping downward. Maybey since the same company owns Olive Garden maybe they should combine the two and make a new name and...
