A "Kitchen Nightmares" Feel: The food was okay. It won't blow your mind, but for the price it's a good lunch stop. However, the service is complete garbage. After checking out the reviews I realized everyone lately has been running into this infamous "Tall Blonde Lady". It's no different for us. We walk in and immediately got hit with loud complaining coming from her and some other older woman who were talking to each other. The Tall Blonde gets snippy with my wife about some sweet tea we ordered because apparently they don't sell it, and they've "tried to change the DoorDash selections before but it doesn't work". Okay cool. How does an IT issue on your end constitute my wife getting some serious attitude from you? Also, I would review your maximum occupancy allowable compared to how many people you let dine in. I get that there was a ridiculous lunch surge due to the eclipse, but I almost guarantee you were over on April 8th afternoon. That's probably what those ladies were complaining about to begin with. It was so crowded you could barely walk anywhere. I'm a big fan of mom and pop joints, and there is great potential, but don't let relaxed hiring and business oversights be the death of yet another family owned (assuming) establishment. Also, slim down that menu and focus on only your strengths. You'll save more and...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible!! My wife and two children went to eat at this resturant between the breakfast and lunch times, around 10:30. With not having time to sit down and eat, I asked if they had a take-out menu. This is where we had our first problem, the hostess station was in the back of the resturant, also the kitchen doors were directly between the hostess and cashier leaving no place to stand without practically being run over by a waitress. Second, and most importantly, my wife was the only non-caucasion person in the building. typically, not an issue. However, when every waitress looked at her as if questioning why she was there. Before we even got to look at the menu in the cramped spot we were left to stand in, my wife said she felt uncomfortable by the atmosphere. Knowing we were not going to stay long, i said lets look what they have and see if there is anything that sounds good. After being bumped several times by un-caring wait staff, my wife said for the second time, I dont feel comfortable in here. After we left she explained to me that is was a racial issue and I too was curious why the wait-staff continued to stare at us and give us dirty looks. They could have potentially gained 10 new customers from my family and friends based on reccomemdation, now they will not recieve any business from myself or...
Read moreTired of business chain restaurants and like to sponsor local family owned restaurants ? Don't use Olympic Family Restaurant. First timers they try to impress you to come back. However, don't be fooled, we were daily locals for a couple weeks. In that time, five out of six times, orders to our table was wrong and had to wait for order to be fixed partially on table, partially missing. My last and final visit to this business, my wife found a hair in her food. The Spectrum Television Service knocked out credit card service, waiters were more involved in the helping Spectrum than taking care of customers coming in door taking orders or refilling drinks and taking care of tables. Business needs cooks to know menu and what's on dishes requested. Waitresses need to check orders before delivered to table. If waiters haven't the time to check plates before going out, Management should be there to check and correct orders. Manager needs to be there when other company's are there so not to tie up waiters with unknown knowledge of other businesses question. Don't tie up two out of three waiters trying to do another companies work. You mean well but have no idea yet on how to run restaurant business and definitely need to spend time with cooks and stay at restaurant to see...
