McSalty's Pizza Café — Restaurant in Springfield

Went in for lunch today to get a slice of Meathead and they had decided to add canadian bacon to everything on the lunch specials today according to the sign at the front. I don't like canadian bacon and the meathead doesn't normally have canadian bacon on it. I asked the waitress if it had canadian bacon to make sure because it said on the menu it doesn't and I told her I didn't like canadian bacon. She just said the special comes with canadian bacon and didn't seem to care if I liked it or not. So because they decided to add canadian bacon to everything today I seemed to be out of luck. Apparently it was to much trouble for them to offer to make a slice without canadian bacon like it is normally. So I had to sit there and eat a cheese bread while my mom ate her slice of pizza and a salad, because I didn't want to spend about three times as much to order an entire pizza with the toppings I wanted. The pizza my mom had was over cooked, during our whole meal dirty dishes were never taken away from our table, we were never checked on to see how we were doing, when she brought the check she asked my mom if she needed a refill on her drink. The place seems to be clean every time we have been there and has never been very busy. It's very dimly lit inside, pizza is ok but expensive which is why we have only eaten there for the lunch specials. I'm only going to give them 3 stars because we've had better dining experiences there in the past, but after today I'm not sure when we'll...

Hey! Owner person! This place is an important part of Springfield please don't let it go under!!! I KNOW YOU NEED THIS INFORMATION AND I NEED YOU NOT TO GIVE UP!!! BRING BACK THE LIVE MUSIC ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAY NIGHTS!!! HIRE LOCAL MUSICIANS!!! THE KIDS IN THESE SCHOOLS EVEN NEED US TO INVEST IN THEM SO THEY CAN PUT SPRINGFIELD ON THE MAP AND BE MUSICIANS ONE DAY!!! REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE!! You can have High School jazz bands play and raise money for fundraisers even. Good place to start. Take down these old beat up tapestries and weird not-art and get you some movie posters on the walls that are nostalgic like Animal House and Pulp Fiction and stuff. I have eaten at McSalty's since the 80's and the service on 09/15/2017 at 7:00pm was absolutely horrible. The two blond waitresses could have cared less about working and doing their job. They were more concerned about leaning on the bar and talking to each other. We had a wonderful hair in our garlic bread and sauce, which my daughter pulled out of her mouth. We let the waitress know and her response "Sorry 'bout that.". Then she walked off. Guess what? We still got charged for the garlic bread and sauce. Then we needed refills and after raising our hand and saying "mam" as they walked by us 10 times, we actually had to flag down the hostess. It was AWFUL!
