Nosh Cafè and Restaurant — Restaurant in Springfield

Nosh has quickly become my favorite lunch spot downtown. Since I started working here, I've tried a bunch of different places, and I keep coming back. You cannot beat their service and high quality, tasty food. I love their hearty salads. When you know you gotta eat healthy, but you don't think a salad will be filling enough, this is where to go.

Today I chose Kate's Power Salad. I placed my order online to pay when I arrived and it was ready when I got there. When asked if I wanted to add anything to my order, I noticed what looked like a deep dish focaccia pizza thing on a try by the register, I asked and was intrigued to learn it was made with tomato, onions, spinach and cheese. I couldn't resist and added it to my order.

I walked back to my office to devour half of each, realizing I would not be able to eat all of it. But I was fully satisfied. The salad was packed with crunch and flavor and the bread was salty and savory. So everything was so well prepared and fresh. I will just keep coming...

We ordered our full Thanksgiving meal (main dish: Cauliflower Pot Roast) for 6 people at Nosh for the first time this year and were blown away by the entire experience! The ordering process was easy and a pleasure — thank you, Kate! Pick up was streamlined and everything was checked before we left the store to ensure all was to our satisfaction. And then… the taste test! Wow!!! Every dish was beautifully prepared, fresh and delicious! Cauliflower, turnips, sweet potatoes, cornbread stuffing, all excellent. I ordered an Autumn Salad that was spectacular; and for dessert the bread pudding and vegan chocolate cake were rave-worthy. We had plenty of each dish for leftovers (best part of Thanksgiving, right?). Every staff person I encountered was smiling and friendly, and Kate in particular deserves a shoutout for her upbeat personality and attention to detail. This spot, and allll the people that work here are absolutely amazing! If I could give it more stars, I would with no hesitation. To start, everything is unique and put together specially to get the ultimate taste, smell, and presentation experience. About 99% of everything here is home made, down to the bread that their paninis and sandwiches are made with. The sauces and salad dressings are all home made. The meat is seasoned and cooked in house. The baked goods are all made and baked in house- which, by the way, are fiiiire 🔥!! And Nosh has thee BEST soups!!! Also homemade, tomato soup is basically always on tap (jk- it’s in their cute soup kettles). And more times than not, there’s a vegan or vegetarian (or both)soup - like coconut curry pho or carrot bisque- and a meaty soup- like cheeseburger chowder or chicken noodle- available all the time!
