Teriyaki Madness — Restaurant in St. Charles

Today, this trip treated thine tongue’s trusty tastebuds to true treasures, transporting this transcendently tasty thing to thine tummy tum tum. Try to top that!

I really like this place. The chicken and veggies always taste fresh and vibrant. The white rice is always a winner too, but the fried rice and also the pan noodles as bases work very well too. I haven’t been disappointed with a chicken option yet. I have not had any other protein, so my comments only entail chicken breast as the protein. I really like the spice/heat to flavor ratio. The spicy teriyaki is very very tasty and the heat level is spot on. The cooks always seem to perfectly cook the chicken also. Even the breast chunks - which are not easy to keep moist and juicy - are never dry or overcooked. My only slight complaint is an industry-wide problem now- the high prices. It’s hard to justify paying upwards of $15 for a plate of chicken and rice. I’d like to see a price break for a base of white rice only / non-veggie/non-noodle orders, or other ways to slightly lower prices where feasible. Still- this is a great alternative to the clown, the king, the bell or that place with the guy who annoyingly yells at his customers about having meat. I’m glad to have this franchise here in our...

I placed my order almost 30 minutes before opening. When I arrived 25 minutes after the posted opening time, the doors were still locked. Once staff finally opened up, I discovered my order hadn’t even been started—it was clearly pending on their iPad, but not on the main screen.

I had just finished a 16-hour shift as a first responder and had planned for this meal to be my lunch before beginning another 16-hour shift in just a few hours. Instead of being able to get home and rest, I was left waiting, losing valuable sleep and travel time because of poor planning and lack of preparation from the store.

To make matters worse, when the order was finally completed, it was incorrect—and I was told there was no white rice available to be purchased at all. This only added to the frustration and showed a lack of readiness to serve customers properly after opening.

This experience was extremely disappointing, especially given how important reliable service is when customers depend on it. I expect to be contacted by a manager regarding this situation, and I would appreciate some form of compensation for the significant inconvenience it caused. I came here after I dropped something off nearby just to try it out. Sadly, I came back 4 more times... That same week!! Luckily two of them were free, but it wouldn't have mattered! 😁 The teriyaki sauce mixed with the madness sauce creates a unique flavor that I can't get enough of. I get the mad chicken with only broccoli. They create their own juices and adding a side of mad sauce sends my taste buds on a once in a lifetime dream vacation! (but I get to experience it whenever I want!) I would add photos but it would be of an empty bowl with a little juice in there and some chopsticks. They just means you have to try it for yourself and trust your taste buds. You'll need extra teriyaki sauce... Still I highly recommend trying it before you leave mix it and flavor it to perfection.
