Genuinely the worst dining experience I've had in about 3.5 years living in Houston.
My girlfriend and I got here at 9:30, and they close at 10:00. Things were weird from the start. The hostess immediately assumed we were heading to the bar- my girlfriend had to go so far as to ask her if we could get a table, because it apparently didn't even occur to her to ask if we wanted one.
Our server Ariel immediately came over looking wildly disinterested and ambivalent, at best, to our desires as customers. We ordered and I was informed they had "just run out" of gator. I found that surprising, given that there were only about 6 other people there...but, fine. I pivoted and ordered the fried shrimp po boy with a side of dirty rice and my girlfriend got the stuffed shrimp with mashed potatoes.
We spent the next half hour waiting for our food, while my water cup sat empty due to Ariel's lack of initiative and wanton disregard for her job's duties. Let me repeat, it took them HALF AN HOUR to make a sandwich and some shrimp. When our food finally arrived, lazily dropped at our table by the ever frustrating Ariel, my girlfriend's side was wrong. She ordered mashed potatoes, and got some kind of rice.
My po boy was awful. I don't know what seasoning they used for the batter on the fried shrimp, but it certainly wasn't sufficient. The sandwich tasted like formed water. I took two bites and left the rest to rot. Ariel didn't deign to return to our table to check on how things were. No, she was too busy yapping with the table behind us. I don't generally like to cast aspersions on people in this way, but her attitude seemed completely different with the other table than it was with us. It's worth noting that Ariel and the other table shared an ethnic background- one that we do not share with them.
The bill was discounted for the mistake with the side, so that was the one positive thing I can say. When Ariel came over to pick up the check, she still seemed allergic to talking to me or us as a table. I suspect she knew she did a poor job with us and didn't want to hear the complaints.
Next time you want good Cajun food in the Stafford or Sugar Land areas, go literally anywhere else that serves it. I'm appalled that this place even exists given the flavorless (bland Cajun food, really?) slop they serve to customers and the just short of openly hostile attitudes they seem to display to customers who aren't of a specific ethnicity. I was almost embarrassed for them with how bad everything was. $30 and an hour of my life that I will...
Read moreUse to love going to this place but today marks the last time I will be going here. I’ve been coming here for years but the last couple of times I’ve come I’ve been very disappointed. I have given them 2 many chances and if it is not the food it is the service. We bought my mom here for her birthday today because this is one of her favorite restaurants to go to. We ask to be seated in the back and was told there are no servers in the back so we accepted where they put us in the front under these freezing cold vents. After waiting 10mins another group was seated next to us. 15 mins later the group that sat 10 mins after us got their food order and drinks while we were still waiting. When I said something to my brother he said he heard the lady tell the waitress she forgot about us to hurry and go get our orders but he didn’t want to said anything to ruin moms birthday. Finally we were asked what we wanted to drink and any appetizers. We preceded to order everything but the waitress said not to order our food take our time and just order our drinks and appetizers for now. (Never been told that before but ok). So we order 4 appetizers (3 Cajun Fondue & Rat Toes) with our drinks. Finally our drinks come and only 3 of the 4 appetizers ordered came out along with my mothers food (combo skillet). So now we are missing food and another appetizer. Because of the long wait I just went and order the other appetizer so that I would not be drinking my Swamp Thang on an empty stomach and said I would get the Seafood Combo Platter to go. I asked the server to please tell them not to put a spoon in my fondue to bring me plastic. When she finally come back with mine guess what, there was a spoon in my Fondue. At that point I just gave up. I didn’t want to ruin my moms birthday so I just sip while she ate her food, paid the bill and left. This was about the worst experience I’ve had at this type of restaurant. My mom said her food was salty and she was only able to eat some so that’s why she put the rest in a to go plate. They don’t ever have to worry about me ever coming back here again. Oooh I will say the drinks were good as always but we were charged $10.50 for each drink when it shows $8 on the website. Edit: GM Katherine A. made up for this locations mistake. My family and I been back a few times since and things were like I remembered...
Read moreI wish I could give this place -0 star..Okay I came here ordered fire mouth wings and stuffed supposedly fat stuffed shrimp with a so called crab stuffing which was brown instead of the flaky white meat from lump crab meat. I placed my order which was $23 and some change. I paid with a 100 dollar bill I was given correct change and my food. I proceeded to walk out the door I was maybe about 5 steps away from the door when the officer that does security said excuse me so I turned around and said yes I thought I dropped some money cause he had a 100 dollar bill in his hand he then asked me where did I get my money from at this time I'm flushed with embarrassment I stated the Bank he then stated the managers and the cashier thought that it was counterfeit at this time I'm very angry and embarrassed I proceeded to show the officer the water mark on the real bill ( he didnt know either being a officer) I also pulled out a couple more bills to compare them he stated I was just making sure and left and went back in I proceeded to call Razzos to see why this happened to me and why the employees do not use the proper tools to define fake from real monies I spoke to manager CHANNEL PERKINS not once did she apologize not one time was there any justification on why I was chased down by security cause your employees do not know the difference I also asked to speak to the store manager KATHERINE CAVANAUGH which at this time I still didn't receive an apology and the take out cashier CHATNEY should of done her job as being a cashier...
