I recently had a very disappointing experience with Beer Belly’s. I purchased a selection of beers, only to discover that several of them were expired. The cans were exploding when opened. I brought the expired beer into the distributor expecting a refund or at least an exchange for fresh products. They offered me 20% off of my next purchase. Excuse me?
The customer service was less than helpful. Not only did they refuse to provide a refund, but they also failed to offer any meaningful solution to the problem. It was frustrating to be met with indifference, especially when I had proof of purchase and evidence that the products were expired.
As a customer, I expect transparency and a willingness to resolve issues, especially when it comes to the quality of the products being sold. Unfortunately, this distributor fell short on both counts.
I would advise others to check the expiration dates carefully when buying from this distributor and be prepared for a lack of assistance if issues arise. There are many other distributors out there that value their customers and stand behind the quality of their products.
I hope this review encourages Beer Belly’s to improve their quality control and customer service practices. In the meantime, I will be taking my...
Read moreCame here a few days ago, and was surprised to find beer by Modern Times. It was months old. Tasted flat. All the good beer here is old, even the ones they say had just came in that very day. They get shipments of beer that these breweries would never sell in other places. The guy behind the counter was very nice. But as a beer store, everything is expensive, and none of the IPAs were fresh. The selection also isn't so great. I think in Pennsylvania that has to do with the distributor, so I don't blame the person. I'm only giving 3 stars because the guy, who I don't even know if he's the owner, was polite. I would have given two stars. This place needs to demand better quality beer that isn't crazy old for the styles that die with age. They should never serve an IPA that's more than...
Read moreWent there a couple of times on a recent trip to State College with my friend. Prices are a little on the high side and the selection was a little smaller than I was expecting a beer store to have in a college town. Counter dude asked if we needed help finding anything RIGHT after we walked in, which seemed a bit pushy or rushed. He was listening to some podcast or something and had to turn it off as we walked in, so I think that he just wanted to get back to whatever he was doing before having to deal with customers, so...
