Beyond a doubt the biggest clown show I have ever seen in terms of restaurants, absolutely awful experience. Waited 40 minutes for two small pizzas, in that time other people walked in after us, ordered pizzas (not online) got their food and left before us. The man running the store in the Biggie Smalls shirt (on morning of 8/28) continued to (falsely) promise that our food was “just coming out” and spent time dapping up other students that he was more friendly with instead of trying to actually get orders out, and it seemed like people that knew him tend to get MUCH more favorable service compared to us. He said that our order would come out with another girls pizza and she still managed to get her food a solid 15 minutes before us. He gave my friend a small mushroom pizza that wasn’t claimed to “make up” for wasting 40 minutes of our time. Other workers were consistently on their phones and drinking beer at work, which isn’t that big of a deal normally but is ridiculous when we’ve been sitting there for the better part of an hour. There’s also no AC, so it’s more or less a sauna in there. Kitchen area is dirty, workers don’t wear gloves and seem to be sweating directly onto the food. Read morePerhaps the absolute worst experience I have ever encountered with customer service. I placed my order for delivery from Monte Carlo’s around 9:40. After waiting for an hour with no call, I called to see what was going on with my order. The man I spoke with told me my order would be ready in about ANOTHER ten minutes. Naturally, and as I am sure any other normal person would do, I asked if there would be any kind of compensation for the long wait. The man completely ignored my frustration and kept saying my order will be delivered soon. I repeated my question, and he told me that it was busy. Mind you it is a Wednesday night at 10pm. I can’t even begin to imagine how the place could possibly be busy. He then angrily asked me if I would like my money back. Thinking he was going to refund me and still deliver the food, and correct me if I am wrong, as any properly business would react, I said yes. He replied, again angrily, “Okay, I’ll cancel your order and you can have your money back. Goodbye” and hung up before I could even answer. Read moreI really enjoy the food from Monte Carlo, however I've always ordered delivery. Last week when picking up my order I was dismayed to see the lack of sanitary condition of this establishment. None of the employees were wearing gloves while making the food and I never saw a single one wash their hands. In addition, two of them were actively eating while preparing food. When I ordered a ham stromboli, the gentleman went into the back room where where someone else who had just taken out garbage had gone, and returned with a bare fistfull of shaved ham after using the same doorknob as the man who had taken out trash. While I waited for my order, I continued to watch all of the employees work without washing their hands or using gloves, reaching into large containers of cheese and toppings and not cleaning their preparation space while doing things like eating, using the register, going into the other rooms of the building, and even going out to smoke without ever washing their hands or wearing any kind of gloves.
