Bruegger's Bagels — Restaurant in Stillwater

Like a bad joke endlessly repeated. Virtually every time I go there, they're out of any of the types of bagels I want. Today they had a sign on the door saying "Out of bagels until further notice." But the door was open, so I went in. No bagels at all. I asked why stay open then? Response was they have bagels only for pre-orders and corporate won't let them close. Maybe they should rename it Members Only Bagel Club or something that lets you know that you can't just walk in and expect to buy bagels. Further, on the rare occasion that they have bagels, there's actually a charge for slicing them. Could they be any more mercenary than that? I think the writing is on the wall...

This review is 15 years overdue. It truly blows my mind and defies all statistical reasoning how often (100% of the time) the bagel orders are messed up. Actually, I think I fit the definition of insanity by continuing to patronize this brueggers and expecting for them to one day get it right. I should get an award for my ability to continue to have hope. Usually it’s a whole bagel or two missing, but we have seen it all. I think this place is fantastic! Since reopening it's a whole new crew but great to see familiar faces! Ellie is the friendliest and most hip worker you have! (Are the kids still using that lingo?) I come in early a lot and this young lady is running the store alone! That's impressive. She's a great asset to the Brueggers team! Make sure to go in on a Monday! There are 2 girls later on in the morning and it is fun to see them work and make it an enjoyable experience! I'll keep going when I can make it until I lose my teeth so at least...
