If I could assign zero stars to this establishment, I would do so in a heartbeat. My husband and I actually first visited Poh's Corner Pub about 25-30 years ago when we vacationed in Door County. We went in there during the Winter months for a cocktail and a bowl of soup. At that time, we received friendly service and delicious food. Fast forward to present day and we now live in Door County. When you walk past Poh's Corner Pub, it smells delicious! You can smell wonderful charbroiled food within and it makes your mouth water. My husband and I decided that it was time to revisit Poh's for a dinner of burgers and fries. When we walked into the pub, it wasn't very crowded. There were two women behind the bar and it didn't seem like they were rushed or stressed to take care of a lot of people. We were not sure whether we were supposed to order food at the bar or whether we could sit at a table and wait for service. We wanted to sit at a table, so we did. Nobody ever approached our table to take an order or else tell us that we needed to order food at the bar. We waited 10 minutes. No service. No comment of "I'll be right with you." No comment of "You need to order food at the bar and we'll then bring it to you." Nothing. After we saw another group walk in, approach the bar, and get waited on imediately, we decided to leave. As we walked out, I turned around and the women behind the bar were actually smiling at me as we were leaving! I'm pretty disappointed to see that this pub has gone downhill over the years. We were sad to see a place in our new hometown be so rude. We had been excited to try it again and add it to our rotation of great places to eat in Sturgeon Bay. We have vowed never to return to Poh's Pub again. There are too many other better friendlier places to eat in Sturgeon Bay. For a similar vibe, but so much friendlier, try Hoffman House Red Room for a delicious burger and fries (at a wonderful price). For great pizza, try Elmo's or Sonny's pizza. For an overall terrific casual meal, try Kitty O'Reilly's, Waterfront Mary, the Tiki Bar at the Lodge at Leathem Smith, or Samuelson's Creek. There are too many great options around to feel ignored and unwelcome at...
Read moreIf it was possible to give negative stars this would be the place!!!! You think after a long ride you'll stop in for a beverage and a friendly smile. This is definitely not the place. They have a bartender with red hair and way too much white makeup on to try to cover up her terrible attitude. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!! As long as I've walked this earth I have never been disrespected by the waitstaff the way this woman acted. I was told" my job is to get your shit and take your money. That's all I don't have to entertain you." The service is terrible KEEP...
Read moreThe worst bartender ever the last two times I was in there, period of about 4 months. So disconnected with his patrons because he was busy on his phone. Tonight he was just as awful but actually mean. I left a full drink sitting there as I just wanted a disconnect from him. Don't go there in the evening hours and expect a personable bartender and maybe not...
